The meals were not anything to write home about, especially with the price tag attached to each.

We have been coming here for years and every night it's the best we have ever had! It is magical ❤️

Food is fabulous. Service with attitude. Really matter of fact lacking the warm and fuzzy feeling. Definitely a destination location.

We were visiting from out of town and chose this place based on reviews. We did not realize that it would be so busy at 5:45pm, but that was our fault for not checking on events in the surrounding area. Thank goodness we had reservations! After we were seated, we were graciously greeted by our server Kamryn and immediately told the specials. She was very friendly and helpful. We ordered drinks, and since they took a while to come out, she let us know that the bar was a bit backed up. We were fine, as we were not in a rush. For apps we had the eggplant and the grilled artichokes, both were very good. 2 of us ordered the ravioli and added proteins (causing this $28 dish to now be $42), but they were delicious. The sauce was very tasty. One in our party got the steak pasta (steak was overcooked & no sharp knife to be had) and the other in our party got the duck and mushroom pasta. Both of these dishes were under seasoned. The duck dish needed a bit more sauce too. Once we properly seasoned them, they were better and the homemade tagliatelle was light and well made. We paid in cash and left. It had slowed down a lot by the time we left. Then around 8:00pm, I got a call from Nicole. Thinking one of us accidentally left something behind, I answered. And although she was very kind, I was shocked when she proceeded to tell me that we didn't leave enough money to cover the bill. First off, with cash, it's always my worry that someone swiped some of it. But when she told me the amount, I told her absolutely not, that the bill she was reading to me was not our bill. Luckily she was able to figure it out (I think). And I told her if it was indeed us, I would make it right. But it was not us. And the more I thought about it, I thought it very audacious of them to call me. What if I didn't have a reservation? I'm still rather appalled. The food was good, but not worth the price, and definitely not worth the questioning of my character. It's good we were just passing through.

We love it here, it's our new go to spot before a show at MVP arena. The (paid) parking lot makes this convenient and we come early so we get a spot right by the exit to beat the exit rush! Food is always amazing, we love the fresh pasta and the pasta a la Carli with grilled sausage is incredible! My husband had the blood orange sorbet which he said was the best he's had. The staff is extremely friendly and we also appreciate the meal pacing, not rushed but also not long waits between courses.

Cafe' Capriccio restaurant is an awesome place to have dinner. The food is great. My Godfather/uncle Jimmy "Razor" Berlino knew the owners. If you are in the mood for Italian food, go to
Cafe Capricco, believe me, you won't be disappointed. I went to dinner at Cafe Capriccio and it was totally awesome and tasted great. Thanks God Bless.

The food is still great, but their service has declined. The dining room could use some maintenance. We ate there last night for my birthday. CC has always been one of my favorite restaurants in Albany.

When we were seated we were left with a printout of the nightly specials. At this price point I expect a server to tell you what the specials are and to offer recommendations. That’s how it used to be.

After finishing the main meal the server would clear the table and explain dessert options while sweeping the table with a crumber leaving a renewed space for dessert. No more. Dessert menus were dropped at the table and main plates were removed.

The booth we were in (closest to the door) needs to be reupholstered. Cracked and lumpy.

Our food was great. I hope they return their service to its former high level. Otherwise it’s not the special dining experience it once was.

I went there 20 years ago and the food was average. I didn't go back until my family decided to go. I went last night and again, average. I ordered Sorento and the chicken breading was burned.

The inside looks like it did 20 years ago, an inner city basement. The staff were nice and very cool. The head guy came over and appeared all full of himself.

I wouldn't go there. Go to Villa di Como Ristorante or Ralph's instead.

Mid food for high dollars, and the bowls of parm made the place smell like someone farted in a leather bag that they left in a hot car.

Food Was very tasty. My wife's Ravioli Della Sera - very good, my Stuffed Chicken Amalfi ($32) also good but a tad overcooked, therefore a bit chewy. Service cold and business-like. As it was Friday evening we felt they wanted us out as soon as possible. Atmosphere good in a nicely decorated basement of an old house. Good selection of background music, not too loud. One thing was absolutely distasteful and out-of-place: a male waiter in shorts and short-sleeve shirt displaying tattoos on both arms and both legs! Not appropriate for a fine Italian restaurant.
