Had a lovely experience inside the restaurant. I was very disappointed in the current condition of the area on Grand St. and Madison Ave. It is a deterrent to go to the restaurant. Sad situation right there is downtown Albany.
From the moment we entered, my wife and I were treated extremely well. We arrived 20 minutes early, however the hostess said not a problem, we have a table for you! We made our reservation for the Garden seating, it was very nice! Going up and down a few flight of stairs, into another building, and finally to our garden seating area. Beautiful. The service was excellent and also entertaining. Our server Ryan, memorized everyone's order. There were nine of us and of course, there were special requests. He nailed it! He was friendly and his enthusiasm was infectious. Our meals were delicious and the portions were generous. I was full but kept working at my meal because it was so good. Each one of us was satisfied and truly enjoyed the whole experience.
