Evan S provided excellent service. We enjoyed the striped bass special. It was tasty and had the right amount of spice. The ricotta ravioli special with a creamy tomato sauce was delicious. The tiramisu was one of the best we have had.
Have been to Cafe Capriccio numerous times, over the past 30 years, and we do LOVE it! This last visit was different. We had a very earlier reservation (5:15pm) because we were coming from the MVP area, after a disappointing car show, and then we had theater tickets for candlelight concert. The restaurant filled up very quickly, and I would assume they were planning a seating after the first groups. But I have to admit I felt rushed! We did not tell the staff that we had plans,...
We had not visited Cafe Capriccio for many years and are glad we took advantage of being in Albany to dine there. Service was outstanding and the food was terrific. While we harbor some misgivings about eating octopus, the grilled octopus appetizer was delicious. The ravioli of the day (filled with burrata) and the pasta alla Carli both were fresh and delicious. We will need to come up with reasons to venture into Albany for dinner here!
