I’m updating my review for Johnnie's On Broadway after another disappointing visit. When we first moved into the area, we were excited to support a local spot, but unfortunately, the experience has gone downhill.

The food was hitting, especially the chicken and mac and cheese. The chicken was perfectly cooked, and the mac and cheese was creamy and flavorful. Muffin, our server, was friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was just right. She really enhanced the overall dining experience. I’ll definitely be coming back anytime I’m in Albany.
Great music, open late, good food
Johnnie's on Broadway is a hidden gem serving top-notch soul food, including delicious fried chicken, seasoned greens, candy yams, and corn bread. The chef cooks with love, making the food truly "Great". The atmosphere is pleasant, with a nostalgic ambiance and 90s r&b music playing in the background. The service is welcoming, and the drinks are great at a reasonable price. This restaurant is a must-visit for its authentic, soulful dining experience, where guests can indulge in good food and great company.
