Who did I go with it? All the above. Martel is my local restaurant. It has no French pretensions. It is a particularly excellent restaurant to go to for an evening meal. It doesn't take reservations but it's worth waiting for a table. The menu is eclectic and the specials usually superb. Need I say more?
Sat on the patio. Was not clean. Tables dirty and bird poo on chairs. Beautiful day. Lots of golfers. No one inside. We were the only people there. Time was 2;OO. You coild do a great business if you put effort in it. The food was not to bad but the surrounds is old.
Excellent food and service at very reasonable prices. The atmosphere was very pleasant. We sat in the dining area, but after dinner, we moved to the bar to join other patrons in watching a baseball game. Overall, it was a quiet, relaxed enjoyable evening. The waitress was friendly and attentive. There was a goid variety on the menu and every dish was delicious.
