“I am a frequent customer at bayabar Oceanside. I came to this one and had a bad experience. The curly hair girl that works there isn’t friendly at all. I saw them make my bowl wrong and when I addressed that they forgot coconut, didn’t put peanutbutter and that they had added honey they looked annoyed. Instead of remaking my bowl they decided to add coconut and peanutbutter on top of the honey. This was without consulting if I had a honey allergy. When I brought the bowl home there was barely any peanubutter and BARELY ANY ACAI BASE!
UPDATE:
One of the owners Marco contacted me after this happened and was super nice and understanding. He refunded me and ensured that that would never happen again. I definitely will give this location another shot because of how nice the owner is and how well he handled the situation.“

“Honestly a great place to spend time in and hangout with friends while enjoying the items that Sobol has. And if you don’t want to handout then takeout is a great option also. With it being affordable and delicious it makes it an easy pick for when I want to go and have one of their bowls or smoothies. Would recommend to others“

“I stopped by yesterday afternoon to get some bagels for my daughter. Unfortunately they had closed 10 minutes before I got there. A gentleman came out of the store and said sorry we’re closed. You missed us by about 10 minutes. I told him I had just left a doctor’s appointment and was trying to get gluten free bagels for my daughter because she really enjoyed their bagels. He stopped and said he had three in the store. He went back into the store and brought me not only the 3 bagels but some frozen ones as well. His name is Mike and he is the owner. He didn’t have to go back into the store but he did. He made my day. There really are kind people in this world. Thank you Mike! You have a customer for life.“

“Oak & Orange is a hidden gem in Mineola and has been my go-to lunch spot on Long Island for months. Their innovative menu combines global flavors with simple, healthy classics. It’s a modern twist on sandwiches, bowls, and salads. My favorites are the Mediterranean salad (the marinated chicken is incredible!), the spicy turkey sandwich (packed with flavor thanks to their house-made chipotle aioli), and the Japanese egg sando. Don’t miss their pantry items either—great finds from around the world. And the staff are always friendly and helpful. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area—you won’t be disappointed!“

“It was my first time coming into playa bowls Merrick and I was helped by Alicia and Quin they had amazing customer service. I was confused by the huge selection of açaí bowls and had many questions and they were happy to answer them with no hesitation.I eventually chose my açaí bowl and it was very flavorful filled with fresh fruit and delicious. I will definitely be coming back and highly recommend Playa Bowls Merrick.“

“This was the place I had my first açaí bowl, and I loved it. I am addicted now and come here pretty often. The fruit is fresh in every season, and the staff here are very lovely. For the people that have never been to this place or haven’t even tried an açaí bowl and want to, I definitely recommend coming here. 😊“

“Since crispy cloud came to town, my life has been significantly improved.I LOVE their taiyaki, smoothies and açaí bowls. It’s important to note that it’s not that “fast” but that’s because it’s currently one person working there and she’s making everything fresh. It’s completely worth the $$ and time for me.“

Sobol at Bay Terrace has become my daily go-to spot for health-related food, especially smoothies. I can’t speak highly enough about this family-owned gem. Since taking over about 5 months ago, you can truly feel the passion and care they pour into every product and every interaction. The quality of their smoothies is consistently top-notch, with fresh ingredients that make every sip a treat.
Beyond the delicious offerings, what really stands out is the incredible service. The owners genuinely care about their customers, and you can sense the pride they take in their work. They go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and valued.
If you’re looking for a place that offers not only great smoothies but also heartwarming customer service, this is the spot. Highly recommended!

“Rodolfo it’s truly a professional!! She allowed me to taste the mango for free and then he ups Old me on the Super Bowl. Everything is so delicious. I really appreciate the effort and the customer service Rodolfo has shown. I am a happy customer and I will definitely be coming back. This was the best experience I’ve ever had and also my first açai bowl, thank you keep up the good work. My daughters enjoyed the açai bowls as much as I did.“

“GrillMak has been a favorite spot of mine for probably almost 10 years now. My go-to's are their sticks - Filet Mignon, my favorite, but their chicken and pork sticks are delicious as well. Occasionally, I will go with the filet mignon gyro when needing a more complete meal. Their sweet potato French fries are a nice side to any meal. There is plenty of dining seating indoors and some outdoors during the summer. You will find plenty of parking here as well.
