“We were renting a cabin so we decided to check out the tavern. I get anxious about walking into new places. The bartender was busy, but she made it a point to make eye contact with us, and smile making it known she had noticed us walk in. The atmosphere was great, a few people interacted with us and were super friendly, the bartender once again made a point to make conversation with us bc we clearly weren’t from around here. “LD’s in Pulaski has become a must-stop tradition for my son and me during our annual salmon fishing trip. We make it a point to grab lunch here at least once a year, and it never disappoints. The food is hot, tasty, and hits the spot after a morning on the river.

If the weather’s nice, definitely grab a table outside — it’s a great place to relax and watch the fishermen working the town pool just across the way. Be warned though, the yellow jackets like to join the party when it’s warm out — nothing too crazy, just keep your drink covered and wave them off.

The place can get busy, especially during peak fishing season, but it’s worth the wait. LD’s has that laid-back local vibe that makes Pulaski feel like home for a few days every year.“
