We went out to dinner on Saturday night after Thanksgiving. It was a cold evening and there was a nice fire burning in the gas fireplace. We were seated away from the fireplace next to the window. It's usually nice to be sitting near a window. But when it's dark and on a cold evening, all we enjoyed was the cold air coming through the window. Oh well. My partner and I recently took a trip up from the city to visit Serevan, an absolutely exquisite restaurant in the Hudson River Valley. I had dined there many times before and to visit the owner and head chef, Serge Madikians. Each and every time, I was treated like family by the entire staff.
