So incredibly sad to see this gem shut down due to a horrible fire this morning. I hope they re-build. A family favorite for sure!

Sadly this great local gem experienced a fire last night and I hope there's rebuilding in the plans. Probably too soon to know.

Good food, drinks, cozy atmosphere, and great staff!

Crabcakes were excellent, staff was friendly, but no one knew what they were doing, and the rest of the food was decent at best. I asked for a few wings to try (it was wing night) and was told the smallest order was 6, but you really get ten for 5 dollars so it's a good deal. I asked for the 6 only anyways, and received 10. When I asked about the size difference on the order I was told not to worry about it, but was then charged full price for the extra wings. Not happy with the experience and don't plan on returning.

It's bar food. But lots of seats. We went on a night kids eat free. The had a tattoo girl there for the kids. Not expensive.

Wednesday, April 4 I had my daughter's 13th birthday at the bulldog Grille. It was nothing short of spectacular! Gail ,Marguerite and the entire staff were attentive and professional making my daughter's birthday one of the best days of her life. In addition to making me feel at ease. Food was great and plentiful two thumbs up

American bar and restaurant in Amityville with a pot hole laden parking lot where the good outweighs the bad. First the bad (aside from the parking lot). The selection of beers on tap is poor and for the price, the small glass isn't worth it. Now the good. Crispy, flavorful boneless buffalo chicken wings were a great start. Ordered the chicken pot pie which was really big and was really delicious. The dinner special of lobster rolls was a good bargain at $16 for two of them. Plump lobster pieces and not too much mayonnaise. Service was fine and prices are reasonable for food but overpriced for drinks. Would come back again and recommended for the food. Just wish they'd re-pave their parking lot.

The prices are not bad but the food is so so. The first time I went there out of the three things I got I only liked the spinach dipand my ceased salad. The meatballs tasted like they were frozen and not homemade and even though they were busy they seemed to rush us so we could get out of our seats.

We was here for the super bowl and the wing are awesome. Also, the fried pickles. That was my first time having them and surprisingly I liked it. This place was packed and I had a lot of fun.

I don't even know how this place is still in business.. first off the parking lot was pitch black.. could not see my hand in front of my face.. The bar was dirty, the restaurant area is uncomfortable and falling apart . The ventilation system is black and moldy. The paint on the ceiling is peeling .. The silverware was filthy and sticky. They were out of half the seasonal craft beers on the menu. Every time we ordered a beer it came in a different shape or size glass.. My boyfriends beer glass smelt like dirty dishes. We were going to order dinner after our drinks and apps but the place just turned our stomachs .. literally .. the appetizer was put down with no plates .. we ordered the steak tid bits.. it came out moo'ing.. and we ordered it medium .. the waiter never came back to check on us after apps were dropped.. and not to mention horseradish sauce the tid bits came with had a pungent odor to it we didn't even dare try it.. I would never recommend this bar/restaurant to anyone .. Its a sports bar and every tv had the same game on .. we had to ask to put something other than the Yankees on.. half way through our drinks we heard what sounded like a band start to warm up but never actually played anything while we were there.. i work in the restaurant business and can honestly say that this was by far one of the worst restaurant experiences I have had on Long Island in a long time.. does not even deserve the 1 star..

This is the best bar in Amityville. I first came here years ago for my mothers 50th surprise party. They have an amazing space for private parties that has its own private bar. I have since then come here from time to time but more recently I have to say it is the best it's ever been. Food, service, atmosphere all great quality. So happy to have a local spot to go to with great food and people. 10/10

You're gonna get a solid meal here. Nothing spectacular but you won't leave feeling robbed. The staff is really friendly and they don't take a year and a day to serve you. Been here twice. The 1st time I got the calamari which was basic and mac and cheese balls to start for the table. The mac and cheese balls were definitely off they put nacho cheese on top and it kinda killed it and made it taste cheap. The actual mac and cheese dinner with the onions and bacon saved the meal tho it was delicious. 2nd time got mozzarella sticks and they weren't great they were ok. Got the fried chicken wrap and was really disappointed with it was loaded with lettuce and the waffle fries were bland. Friend had a burger and I tasted it and it was pretty good. I'd go back just have to find a favorite on the menu. Probably the mac and cheese.

This place is DIRTY. The salt & pepper shaker was sticky, the place smells like dirty bathroom/bleach. The silverware is just dirty... AND my glass had a lipstick stain on it. Upset I didn't notice until after I was drinking two cups of water. But just left it because the service was horrible. Don't come here....

Don't know where these jerkoffs get the gall to give this place anything less than 5 stars. Absolute horseshit. Staff is incredible and friendly, food is fantastic, and the atmosphere is cheerful. Met the bartender/manager and he was an absolute gem. Even served me drinks from the bar as I was seated above at my table, peaking over time to time to see if I needed another Miller Lite. Which brings me to my next point, in a area with warm drinks and filthy taps a-plenty, this place really does stand out. Typical local filled happy hour bar crowd, but not like the other bars in the area where you feel unwelcome. Clean dressed smiling happy people. Definitely a place I would come just to grab a drink. Food was superb. I got the mini Reuben's, they were by far one of the best things if ever eaten. Cajun shrimp wrap as an entree and to be completely honest, I was blown away. Recommend both to anyone looking for a filling hot meal. Everyone around me sure seemed like they were enjoying their meals as well (and what a broad spectrum of cuisine on the menu) Long story short, if you ever had a bad experience here... LET IT GO! It was an off day, or the real staff was being held hostage in the back. Enjoy!
