I have been there many times and had to send food back the last 3 times. The calamari used to be fantastic. Now, it is a plate of rubber bands. Every dish is disappointing and sad, and everyone I have spoken with agrees.We just keep returning because it is the place in town to socialize which is hard to do with the acoustics and numerous tables crammed together.

We tried Lorenzo's Southside for the first time last night for takeout. It was excellent! The Calamari Fritti was hand-breaded and unique in flavor, not your run-of-the-mill calamari. I had the Veal Milanese, which was tender and outstanding; the arugula and balsamic made the dish seem light while the Stracciatella added just the right amount of creaminess and balance. My husband had the Gnocchi Brasata; the short rib and sauce were incredibly flavorful although the gnocchi was slightly denser than expected but still delicious. I also had the carrot cake, which was hands-down the best I've ever eaten in my life. For the quality of the food (everything handmade), I felt the pricing was excellent. We had 2 meat entrees, 1 pasta course, 1 appetizer and 2 desserts for just over $103. I'm not sure how anyone could complain about that price. We will definitely return to Lorenzo's. Highly recommend!

This place is great. Being from Long Island and accustomed to over priced meals that were underwhelming - this gem was the opposite! Having no shortage of Italian restaurants near my home, I found their food better, fresher (even the calamari and Haddock) and authentic than home. Homemade. Everything was amazing and this was one of my best meals in a long time. In my profession we speak about “happiness to pay” this was a meal that I was beyond happy to pay for.

It was just average, nothing special. The meatballs were small for my liking, but the were flavorless. The homemade pasta wasn't cooked enough (hard center, not " El Dente"). The Lamb Popsicles were well done, that's a sin. I feel guilty writing this but it is what it is. We will go back and try the Pizza, but nothing else.
A great family-owned restaurant. If I was on death row, I'd choose Lorenzo's Veal Parmesan and a side of calamari for my last meal. Everything I've ever had here has been great: food, drinks, service and atmosphere. I dine on all special occasions here. This place is king of the hill, top of the heap, a number one.

The place is just buzzing. Great food great time terrific family owned. The kind of place that's worthy of my hard earned coin for a dinner out
