Exactly what I expect from a good Chinese joint. Excellent, affordable food and an extremely awkward/frustrating experience with the delivery process. Just be patient on the phone and you'll get your order in, stop complaining. Got two appetizers and two dinners all for $36 without the driver's tip. Excellent place!
It's okay. Affordable.
The woman taking orders became upset when I questioned the total of my order. The prices on the menu she handed me were lower than the prices she charged. She also added a random $5 tax charge and a $1 fee for using my debit card without clearly explaining the extra charges. Very disappointing experience. This was my first and definitely my last time dining here.

Astoria No.1 offers damn tasty fried chicken wings, a regular dinner rotation item. The pepper steak is solid, tender with simple seasoning. While some items are mid, the fried chicken wings, rice, and triple green jade are highlights. They also have good veggie dumplings and good customer service, with takeout orders being accurate.
