“Arrived at 7:55 unaware that this establishment closes @8 pm. I asked what time they close and the owner said 8 pm. I went to leave and he said wait where are going. We close at 8 but as long as you sit before you have time. Waitress was friendly and wasn't acting as we bothered her. Even the other waitresses were talking to us and joking around! phenomenal service Definitely do not find this hospitality or customer service now days! Sport of Kings you are top notch in our book. We appreciate and thank you so much!”

“Eli Fish is one of the most underrated spots in Western New York. Amazing beer with a huge selection--24 taps! Good cocktail program too. Shuffleboard, pool, live music in the square on the weekends in the summer, live music inside in the winter. Chicken fingers are homemade and incredible. I especially love their sour beers. Great vibes worth a visit.”

“I Love eating here ! The food is really good. I’ve tried a few of their meals. I really love their French Fries fresh & very hot , also as leftovers. They are really awesome. The portions of their offerings are very filling. The staff greet you quickly and are very accommodating , Roman is very professional , accommodating , a real asset at this restaurant/ bar . He make things fun and you want to keep coming back again & again. The atmosphere is perfect for group gatherings without small children (this is definitely a nice bar atmosphere). Sports are displayed on TVs scattered in strategic places. Now let’s just talk about the “house Margaritas” = Delicious is an understatement! Well Done Senor Leon !”

A Hidden Gem with Local History and Heart!

I absolutely loved my visit to this historic bar and grill! The atmosphere is rich with character and the staff were incredibly friendly! They made us feel right at home from the moment we walked in.

The food was fantastic with that homemade feel you just can’t get from a chain restaurant.

Highly recommend stopping by if you are in the area. Great service, delicious food and a piece of local history all rolled into one!”

“The restaurant is fine. I know it is an "Italian steakhouse" with some pasta dishes, some seafood dishes and steak entrees at "market price". I hate asking for prices so I settled on a pasta dish. It was okay, but the tomato sauce was very heavy if you know what I mean. I had made the reservation in advance as we were staying there but I wasn't really in the mood for a big meal. I would have liked an option for a gourmet burger or steak sandwich, so I settled on the pasta because there was really no where else to eat at that establishment that had a decent dining atmosphere. Also, I was asked when I made the reservation through Open Table, if there was a special occasion. I added that it was my wife's birthday that day. Not sure why they asked because nothing came about from it. Open Table might as well not even ask if no one pays attention to it. Just my opinion for what it's worth.”

“I liked everything about this place. The food was awesome and the atmosphere was super cool. On our way from Niagara we found this cool place and had a pit stop for lunch. Kids enjoyed the lunch. We had sphegatti, Alfredo, Lobster soup and Pizza which was customized to our liking as we don't like Beef. Thanks a ton to the person who serviced us. He really was too cool from the time he met us until our billing. He even gave us a chocolate tower cake billed on house. The cake was full of chocolate and delicious. If I have anyone visiting to NY on this way I would surely recommend this place for anyone who wish to have a nice Italian Food”

“The best bar in the state of New York. Frank will take care of you like a father. Genesee is $2.25 a bottle (November 2024) and the bathroom is functional. Do not visit Batavia without spending time at Kelly’s Holland Inn.”

“No our first dining experience here, but my first review. The facility is a fantastically rustic bar/restaurant run by the same family for 56 years! and counting. The octagonal dining area gives full view of an open flame grill that gives great comfort and a home town feeling. Plenty of tables and chairs, quite nicely decorated open beam walls and ceiling. Our waitress/server, Vickie is a sweet woman, very attentive to your needs and quick on the draw with drinks and food delivery. A couple came in that hadn't been in the area for decades and it was a pleasure listening to Vickie's brief explanation of the restaurant and it's history. The couple clearly felt very comfortable. On to our experience . . We enjoyed a cold beer, fresh made bread (banana and plain) and our appetizers as we briefly waited for our dinner orders. My small chef salad was just the size I ordered, garnished with a few green peppers, tomato, etc. My husband enjoyed a bowl of cheeseburger soup, he say's was also delicious. Our meals arrived: mine was a fish fry with coleslaw, french fries, ample tarter sauce, and lemon. The FISH WAS COOKED PERFECT! I loved the nicely crisped batter with steaming tender fish when I pierced the batter with my fork. The french fries a similar to fresh cut size, and cooked perfectly, as well. My husband enjoyed a plate of fried breaded shrimp and french fries. Having enjoyed the shrimp on a previous occasion we knew it would be great! Clean shrimp, no tails, cooked and ready to pop in your mouth. Juicy and delicious. Plenty of cocktail sauce. It was nice to watch Chef Maureen cooking orders over the flame grill; a nice thick piece of pork, sizzling away. Such a great dinner and friendly people. Thank you! We will return!

“We love Ficarella's. I can't recall any time we've had an issue because we keep going back. We got dinner from them 2 times this week and both times our order was 100% correct. Their online ordering is super simple and allows you to make almost any modification you want. They also have a drive up window if you can't/don't want to go inside.”

“I always place a mobile order for walk in. Today that wasn’t an option and upon showing up the drive thru was out the road and not moving. After sitting for awhile I decided to walk in to check on my order since it had already been 15 minutes since I placed my order. Upon entering they were clearly severely short staffed for a Sunday morning but a young lady asked how we could be helped and I explained the situation and she got right on making our drinks. I was super appreciate of her positive attitude even while working during a busy stressful time. Every-time I’m there the employees are friendly and helpful!
I think any negative reviews are actually for the other location. Because I’ve never had an issue at the west main location.”

“It's a plain atmosphere with good conversation amongst locals and the interior looks the exact same as it always has. The sauce was delicious, the cheese was stretchy and melty. The crust had a nice crunch yet soft at the same time. The customer service was professional and helpful. My partner asked for extra cheese. If you want to eat the pizza from a Goofy movie, order with extra cheese, it looks the exact same! It's not really a necessity tho. I definitely recommend!”

“Every time we drive through Batavia, I’ve always wanted to stop. Today we stopped and got a couple Beef on Weck and cheeseburger. And some fried sides. Everything was great. Staff was super friendly. Service was quick. And pricing was less then you would pay at a fast food restaurant. Will go again.”

“Food was good and hot. It's a geat place to take the kids. We had to wait a bit after we were done eating for our server to return with check and to request boxes. We were also brought the wrong sauce for a meal. Not really deal breakers for me just little annoyances for the kids. The sauce was changed out when my daughter went up to a server and requested it. The staff was nice and accommodating. Lots of parking availability. The parking lot was nicely plowed especially with the weather we have had.”

“I don’t normally feel compelled to do a review but I have to say the energy and service of this Jersey Mikes was impeccable! We randomly stopped here on a drive home to Pennsylvania and I’m so glad we did! I’ve never seen all the workers in such a good pleasant mood and so professional. The employee who was taking orders was so pleasant and asked everyone who came in while we were eating inside about what they were looking forward to. I know it’s something so simple but it makes a difference! I would go out of my way to go to this shop . I forgot yo mention the fact that my portobello mushroom swiss melt was amazing. I was also happy because this was my stepsons first experience at this franchise and they were happy to come back again! Thank you so much for the outstanding service! It did not go unnoticed. I also ate at the store on Monday afternoon on June 23rd. Keep up the wonderful things you are doing!”
