“Arrived at 7:55 unaware that this establishment closes @8 pm. I asked what time they close and the owner said 8 pm. I went to leave and he said wait where are going. We close at 8 but as long as you sit before you have time. Waitress was friendly and wasn't acting as we bothered her. Even the other waitresses were talking to us and joking around! phenomenal service Definitely do not find this hospitality or customer service now days! Sport of Kings you are top notch in our book. We appreciate and thank you so much!”

“My husband and I just got married there on Saturday, and he loves golfing there. The course is in great shape, but thanks to Danielle the day was absolutely perfect. “I wish I could remember our servers name. Her hair was half blonde and half brunette! She was the best server we've ever had a this location. We've had other good servers, but she was great! “No our first dining experience here, but my first review. The facility is a fantastically rustic bar/restaurant run by the same family for 56 years! and counting. The octagonal dining area gives full view of an open flame grill that gives great comfort and a home town feeling. Plenty of tables and chairs, quite nicely decorated open beam walls and ceiling. Our waitress/server, Vickie is a sweet woman, very attentive to your needs and quick on the draw with drinks and food delivery. A couple came in that hadn't been in the area for decades and it was a pleasure listening to Vickie's brief explanation of the restaurant and it's history. The couple clearly felt very comfortable. On to our experience . . We enjoyed a cold beer, fresh made bread (banana and plain) and our appetizers as we briefly waited for our dinner orders. My small chef salad was just the size I ordered, garnished with a few green peppers, tomato, etc. My husband enjoyed a bowl of cheeseburger soup, he say's was also delicious. Our meals arrived: mine was a fish fry with coleslaw, french fries, ample tarter sauce, and lemon. The FISH WAS COOKED PERFECT! I loved the nicely crisped batter with steaming tender fish when I pierced the batter with my fork. The french fries a similar to fresh cut size, and cooked perfectly, as well. My husband enjoyed a plate of fried breaded shrimp and french fries. Having enjoyed the shrimp on a previous occasion we knew it would be great! Clean shrimp, no tails, cooked and ready to pop in your mouth. Juicy and delicious. Plenty of cocktail sauce. It was nice to watch Chef Maureen cooking orders over the flame grill; a nice thick piece of pork, sizzling away. Such a great dinner and friendly people. Thank you! We will return!

“I always place a mobile order for walk in. Today that wasn’t an option and upon showing up the drive thru was out the road and not moving. After sitting for awhile I decided to walk in to check on my order since it had already been 15 minutes since I placed my order. Upon entering they were clearly severely short staffed for a Sunday morning but a young lady asked how we could be helped and I explained the situation and she got right on making our drinks. I was super appreciate of her positive attitude even while working during a busy stressful time. Every-time I’m there the employees are friendly and helpful!
I think any negative reviews are actually for the other location. Because I’ve never had an issue at the west main location.”

A Hidden Gem with Local History and Heart!

I absolutely loved my visit to this historic bar and grill! The atmosphere is rich with character and the staff were incredibly friendly! They made us feel right at home from the moment we walked in.

The food was fantastic with that homemade feel you just can’t get from a chain restaurant.

Highly recommend stopping by if you are in the area. Great service, delicious food and a piece of local history all rolled into one!”

“My heart goes out to the owner of this shop! Your workers are rude, they talk crap on Facebook when all you’re trying to do is run a business and have them clean up after themselves, and do their job!!!! I brought my children here a few days ago and until the rude teenagers are fired we will not be returning. These teenagers think everyone owes them everything when I’m reality they owe the company they work for everything for allowing the chance of a job!!! The attitudes you gave MY FOUR YEAR OLD for NOT KNOWING WHAT KIND OF ICECREAM SHE WANTED WAS APPALLING!!!! Grow up and become mature or companies will not want you backing them up!!!!!”

“It's a plain atmosphere with good conversation amongst locals and the interior looks the exact same as it always has. The sauce was delicious, the cheese was stretchy and melty. The crust had a nice crunch yet soft at the same time. The customer service was professional and helpful. My partner asked for extra cheese. If you want to eat the pizza from a Goofy movie, order with extra cheese, it looks the exact same! It's not really a necessity tho. I definitely recommend!”

“Went there for a private Graduation ? Party. The whole restaurant and volleyball/Cornhole areas were awesome to keep people entertained. Waitress that was present was absolutely amazing. Friendly, constantly cleaning up tables and keeping hot chicken wings on the food table.”

“The best bar in the state of New York. Frank will take care of you like a father. Genesee is $2.25 a bottle (November 2024) and the bathroom is functional. Do not visit Batavia without spending time at Kelly’s Holland Inn.”

“Everything was great as usual however all 5 of us ordered the early bird fish fry(reservations at 5pm) and we were charged full price, not early bird pricing. We didn't notice until we got home.”

“We love Ficarella's. I can't recall any time we've had an issue because we keep going back. We got dinner from them 2 times this week and both times our order was 100% correct. Their online ordering is super simple and allows you to make almost any modification you want. They also have a drive up window if you can't/don't want to go inside.”

“To start off me and my fiancé ordered two minutes before close not only did they take our order with no problem. They were very friendly. The food was great. I’m from the city of Buffalo where there is a good Chinese food place on every other corner and I would literally stack this place up to any of them. when we got there to get our food, it was closing time and not only did they talk back to us and we’re very friendly They did not whatsoever make us feel rushed and very thankful for our order. I will definitely be ordering from this place again. I highly recommend”

“Food was good and hot. It's a geat place to take the kids. We had to wait a bit after we were done eating for our server to return with check and to request boxes. We were also brought the wrong sauce for a meal. Not really deal breakers for me just little annoyances for the kids. The sauce was changed out when my daughter went up to a server and requested it. The staff was nice and accommodating. Lots of parking availability. The parking lot was nicely plowed especially with the weather we have had.”
