“Today is my second time ordering food from Bitterman BBQ on the corner of Rt 109 and Straight path in the town of west Babylon . The food was very good not to forget the big generous portion. Mr Bitterman is friendly and always has the biggest smile in his face. Please go there to get the tastiest BBQ in town. I love the garlic mashed potatoes that came with the food as a side dish, you get 2 free sides with your food.B.T”

Well this incredible family restaurant is just that, Amazing!
As an Executive chef, I always look for the outmost, the best, the simplest or the outlandish…. This place feels like a home, you came to the owners home, he was watching tv, got up and greeted us as his family guests, his wife told us to seat where we like, and gave us the menu and explanation about the spicy food, she asked of we ever ate Thai food…. The foods were as fresh as possible, superb and delicious.
Variety of dishes and combinations that will make any guest happy and very full, this place worth the drive from the city to Long Island… and it’s near the green belt hiking trails…. Another worthy destination…I had too many items, but enjoyed all of the foods, didn’t take pictures of everything…”

Decided to try. Always up for adventure. What a WOW! Staff from entry to restraunt were warm and friendly. Love the decor sleek and so clean. Service was great. Now the important part..the food. We both had the j*** chicken tostada which was super delicious. Ingredients were so fresh.. Right amount of spice and ingredients with a nice kick. Got a chance to speak with owner and chef. They were so proud of their restaurant and looking to hear our thoughts on our meal. We told them it was extra special. They are looking to provide fresh quality soul food to the community and I would say they exceeded our expectations. Wishing them success and looking to return on my next visit to Amityville. The outside stone work decor is so beautiful. Thank you for a great food experience. Give this place a try I believe you will not be disappointed.”

“My goodness!!!! My husband and I have been searching for the perfect tacos on longisland since our first visit together to LA, California. I was always obsessive with tacos however after my first 2 trips to LA I was fully converted and dedicated to finding something reminiscent of those beautiful tacos one random night in the back of a brewery that we visited... safe to say we never found that truck again, but Jesus LORD, I'm happy we found this one. They are unbelievably sweet and laid back not to mention the owner admitted to being from L.A himself so it all made sense! I Thoroughly recommend trying it all. The al pastor was great!!! Carnitas was fantastic, crunchy on the outside but soft an tender within (being Dominican, this is how I grew up eating pernil so it's a very sacred meat to me haha) and the chorizo and carne asada **CHEFS KISS DUDE** wow!!! We also tacked on the shrimp tacos, aka camarones and they ALSO were just right! Not chewy or over cooked!! Please go here we need more authentic Californian taco spots on this island.????”

“I have had the pleasure of dining at the Hidden Gem Cafe and having various meals catered by the Hidden Gem Cafe on numerous occasions. I can say that breakfast, lunch, dinner, and dessert are all super delicious. Breakfast sandwiches are delicious, and the French toast is amazing. The catering is on time, fresh, hot, and replete with every condiment, utensil, paper goods, etc. The pies are some of the best I have tasted.
