A neighborhood restaurant off the beaten track, Cortese has been around for decades, and consistently punches above its weight for a neighborhood restaurant. The menu is huge and the food by and large is excellent, with a very wide variety of Italian dishes.

Food is immpeccable. Haven't had a bad meal here in all the years going. Inside decor may leave a little to be desired but can't go wrong with food! Authentic and just like a home cooked meal. Hasn't disappointed yet!
I only get here once or twice a year as I live in the Albany area but when I do find myself in the Binghamton area Cortese's is a MUST STOP. Food is IMO a little pricey but certainly worth it. I have NEVER been disappointed. I can't stop hoping for them to open up a second restaurant in the Albany area.
