My partner and I were debating whether to make the relatively long drive up to Brushland from where we were staying, and I am really glad we did. This is a good restaurant. It's not amazing, it's good. The staff is super friendly and attentive and work hard to please. The food unfortunately lacked any wow factor and considering the $75 price per head I was expecting wow. It was really average if you compare to other farm-to-table restaurants in the northeast. The portions were huge, the beer was great, and the chef gave a short speech that tied the night together.
In NYC I’d have to pay a lot more for a comparable experience and would likely lack the same charm / energy.
