I can't share enough wonderful things about The Red Bird Cafe & Gift Shop! My Mom and I attended afternoon tea back in January and were blown away by the delicious, traditional English tea - cucumber and cream cheese sandwiches, chicken salad on a croissant, currant scopes, and an incredible dessert tray with macaroons, tarts, cupcakes, and soft bread dipped cookies in chocolate. Not to mention, The Red Bird was warm, charming, and cozy. Jo, the owner, was so attentive...
Absolutely fabulous! I have been looking for a high tea experience in the greater Rochester area and this definitely delivered. The food was fantastic, and they took special care of a member of our party who had an egg allergy and made her a special plate! The tea selection was elevated and had several tea blends I had not yet tried. If you are looking for your “Bridgerton” experience this would be my recommendation for you. It’s a perfect place for a small tea birthday...
The customer service was excellent! I love that we get to pick our own tea cups to drink from. However, the food was mediocre, with the only sides offered being chips. The quiche was plain but the buttery puff pastry was nice! All in all, not really worth the price
