What a wonderful find! I chatted with the owner and learned that: -All food is fresh (the restaurant has no freezer!) -Meats are sourced from local butchers -Bread is made with imported flour Many options for people who eat gluten-free (even pizza and pasta) or dairy-free, vegetarian, etc. Service was friendly and attentive. This place a gem. I dont live particularly close, but from now on, this is my go-to on City Island.
City islanders do not realize they have a 5 star dining establishment right in their backyard The CIPC hamburger with its special blend of meats is outstanding. Now they have their liquor license so any drink can be yours.
Rene & his staff are amazing!!! Always going above & beyond. The food is to die for. Don't let the name fool you, their menu is full of delicious dishes. Tonight i went with their Brussel Sprouts with thin slices of pepperoni & topped it off with their new Cheeseburger. It consists of : Burger blend of Brisket, short rib, chuck topped with pancetta, carmalized fenel and caccio cavallo cheese on a brioche bun. Amazing!!!!! Do not hesitate to enjoy a great dinner...
