I am soooo upset! We walked in to get a Chocolate Ice cream on a rainbow sprinkle cone. Unfortunately we were told that we can not have the chocolate as it is for next day and to hard to scoop. Unbelievable. I am still SHOCKED. Is that an actual thing? Can you be denied Ice Cream because it is to hard an for next day? I’m so confused.

Anthony

Empty and prices kind of high but it's Häagen-Dazs, so it was worth it

Thought took photo of ice cream parlor on Grand Concourse in Bronx.. it's a staple of community and always have friendly staff and all time favorites to serve up. How can one decide, you can't do keep coming back. So decadent

The guy has a nasty attitude! When you ask a question! But to make matters worse he has so much hair on his arms ! That when he goes to scoop the ice cream you can see it touch! I can't believe no one see this or say anything! Will never go back there again

This Concourse Village Häagen-Dazs- not far off from Hostos, was a savior after we wrapped up with early Saturday dinner in Flushing. Quite honestly, it's been eons since I've been in this area so it was a surprise(?) to know Häagen D. is a fixture in these South Bronx parts. There are large Häagen-Ds around and then there are small ones. This, is microscopic. The type where you're forced to walk sideways and dodge bumping into people while also avoiding anybody's air. Anyhow. The ONLY guy working here wasn't phased at all by hubs and I and, the other 4 people behind us waiting while a woman was moronically asking for samples. But the guy- with all the patience in the world, was pleasant. I settled on a wonderful vanilla-based ice cream+chunky caramel+crunchy something and a chocolate ice cream with like pretzelly things and brownie bits I think. Both divine. This particular location isn't breaking any ice cream conventions. Apart from the one-man show here, this is a clear example of appearances are deceiving. And to their defense, between my 2 scoops and hubs' Mango sorbet- they were both fresh-tasting and didn't have that gross freezer burn taste in this South Boogie Häagen-D.

I just got me Brownie a la Mode a first time I ever had it and to me it is super delicious. The man that took my order I believe he was Indian was nice and very informative. I recommend the Brownie a la mode to those who love and enjoy delicious Brownie ice cream.
