I pick places based on who eats there. I tried this place because it was always filled with Mexican customers. I enjoyed the chicken chimichanga and a frozen margarita. Both very good.
Stopped in for a quick lunch on the sidewalk, and was not disappointed. The server was friendly and helpful, and wiped down the outdoor table even though it was already spotless. I had chilaquiles con salsa verde y huevos, and they were perfect. Some crunchy, some soft, spicy and just a little crema and cotija. Plus, an excellent side of black beans that I wasn't expecting, and good, fresh chips and salsa to start. They seemed to really be paying attention inside to spacing out...read full review

Our go-to spot for Mexican. San Diego grown, I know good Mexican and as I have tried so many, in my opinion this is the best around. Run by great people with staff who are attentive to service and a massive menu that spans all regions/categories of Mexican food (and a variety of gteat margaritas) with something delicious for every pallet
