The good: I came from California and visited my brother and of course wanted to try authentic New York bagels. He recommended this spot and it was delicious. The bagels were good but it was the schmear (cream cheeses) that I loved the most. The options are plentiful and the presentation looks like ice cream. Among the best in the 5 boroughs (the only Bronx bagelry ranked on Eater's 22 Best Bagel Joints in NYC. See photo.) The bagels are crisp on the outside, chewy inside and big. Spreads are appropriately generous making a perfect meal which I partake in almost any time of the day! It is a small store, no seating, no frills. Just great bagels and spreads and a few other items like Bev's, cookies and chips to go. Also, ample free parking in shopping center across the street.

I've been shopping at Riverdale Bagels for many years now. They have the best bagels and spreads, but they also have so much more. From different kinds of breakfast and lunch options. Including the very best muffins and pastries. The staff is ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC.
