Baku Palace is an elegantly decorated restaurant with a modern sound system and lighting, making it a perfect venue for special occasions like weddings and birthday parties. The restaurant offers an excellent level of service, with polite and helpful staff, and a great range of food options, including delicious Azeri dishes such as Kutavi, Lamb chops, plov, and smoked fish, as well as vegetarian options like fish, veggies, salads, grains, and potatoes. The restaurant's entertainment, led by Nourdain, is also outstanding, with great singing performances and DJing.
The restaurant has two floors and an outdoor terrace with an elevator and street exit, making it a popular and upscale destination. The first floor and terrace are less formal, while the second floor is more formal, often hosting weddings and other large events. Guests may need to share the floor with other parties unless they rent the entire floor.
The food is mostly good and beautifully presented, with the lamb chops, whole fish dishes, and combination seafood in white sauce being particularly recommended. The restaurant's signature dish, salmon baked in salt, is a popular choice, served with a dramatic presentation. All salads are excellent, but the filet mignon combo with lobster tail was a disappointment on a recent visit.
The service is good, with a large staff ensuring timely delivery of dishes, even when the restaurant is fully booked with large parties. The Napoleon dessert is also delicious.
