Malaysian here, the owner is from Ipoh. It all makes sense why the curry mee doesn’t taste as good as in Penang or KL.
this is what I feel about their curry mee. Too much coconut milk not enough sambal. they should put sambal in a sauce plate and let customer decides how much sambal they want to add. And some of the oil released from coconut milk due to them overboil the coconut milk making it too oily. The soup also needs tamarind and lemongrass and most importantly sambal.
Another recipe that will definitely be popular will be white curry mee from Penang. And allow customers to adjust how much curry paste to add.
They should definitely focus more on curry mee since their shop literally name curry mee. But their other dish is actually not that bad.
I definitely recommend that they remove some of the menu and focus on a few that they’re good at or the curry mee’s
My Canadian gf likes curry mee the moment she tried it for the first time. We definitely would hope to find such place in North America ?

PHENOMENAL! I do not say that lightly. I ordered the beef curry soup with rice noodles for lunch. This was one of the first times in a long time where I was genuinely impressed by the food. The curry was complex but not overzealous. This place is now my go-to

The food is great, the curry was absolutely delicious, as well as the sambalar shrimp, the waiter told us the chef was originally from Malaysia so we got to try very authentic tastes. And the service was awesome, server was helpful with all our questions, he even gave us some suggestions and gave us to try the curry, that’s when we decided to try it!
Love this place! definitely coming back!
Plus they have a very welcoming and nice backyard

This place is absolutely AWFUL. The waiter (white male with dark brown hair) was extremely unfriendly, rude, and looked EXTREMELY unhappy to be there. I think he's the main waiter there. He never checked in on us throughout our meal and exhibited the most negative attitude. Genuinely perplexed about this horrendous service that we experienced. Wish I could say the food was good but all of the dishes were subpar, lacked flavor and quality, and a waste of money. Hate to put down a local place but this place was awful, and the waiter needs to be fired.

The staff at Curry Mee made an unauthorized adjustment to my tip amount and charged my card for a greater amount than the receipt I signed.
We ordered the Satay Chicken, Crispy Spring Roll, Malaysian Chow Fun and the Crispy Duck. Our pre-tax bill was $55.90. With tax and a 15% tip, our bill was just under $70.
And yet today the charge posted on my credit card for $78.69.
Don't patronize places that are comfortable stealing from customers. And the food was just okay.

AVOID. They messed up our check to try to charge a higher tip.
On top of that, the food wasn't very good, very little flavor.

Super grateful for a Malaysian restaurant in BK!!! AND THEY HAVE GRASS JELLY AND soy milk <3 Food is delicious, we ordered the crispy duck (super tender and juicy!), Malaysian Chow Fun (love love flat rice noodles!), and curry beef stew (I asked for coconut rice ;). Chef is Malaysian from chinatown so he's seasoned knows what's up. Thank you chef for coming out of retirement and coming all the way to Brooklyn to cook for us <3.
