Always a pleasurable experience. It's been ages (a year) since I ate here, but the bar is welcoming and the menu capacious. Staff are beyond friendly, attentive, and happy to talk about the offerings on tap.
Eckhart specializes in German and Czech lager styles, and excel in this regard. If that is your wheelhouse - and it should be - make the special trip to Bushwick.

Great beer, great good, and exceptional service!
I was surprised to discover this place in Brooklyn. I'm glad I did! They are as passionate about beer traditions as all great European breweries are. Everything reminded me of Czech Syle pubs, starting from the design with simple but yet relaxing atmosphere. Going forward with the beer selection that consisted of traditional Czech and German styles such as Helles, Pilsners, Lagers and so much more. Eckhart Beer Co. offers fantastic beer, including a superb traditional German pilsner, a terrific old-school IPA, and a unique smokey rye beer. They also serve amazing European beers like Czech lager. The food is a highlight, with dishes such as brotzeit, kartoffelpuffer, chicken liver mousse, and rillon receiving high praise. The pretzel and a malt and marmite tart are also highly recommended. The space is beautiful and comfortable, with cozy booths and spacious tables, making it a great place for conversation. Eckhart Beer Co. is considered a new favorite by many.
