Italian bakeries are all over NYC but not like Elegante. If you have never tried this gem of a bakery, do yourself a favor and try Elegante. Once you try the pastries, cakes, bread, or cookies, you will love the quality, the taste, and most of all, the freshness.I relocated from my beloved Brooklyn a bit over 3 years ago, and trust me when I say there are hardly any good bakeries outside of NYC. The BEST Italian cheesecake you will ever have. Order the Italian ricotta cheesecake and bring it to your next event -- you will be a fan favorite. My dad grabs 5 Italian ricotta cheesecakes at a time and we freeze them. Even after freezing them and having it, you can tell the flavor is so rich. I've brought them to friends in CT and MA and everyone raves about them.
