I'm not impressed with this location. I would say the staff doesn't care. Best service we had here was the bellman when entering and leaving the hotel. Housekeeping was not good as dirty used wine glasses and plates were left in our room. When checking out the woman at the front desk did not ask about our stay or even offer a copy of the bill. Now checking my credit card there is a discrepancy and of course I can't get someone on the phone. Left a message in hopes of a returned call. I wouldn't stay here again. Beautiful views but for the price I expected better quality.

I recently had the pleasure of encountering Eddie Brown, the security guard at 1 Hotel, and I must say, his exceptional service left a lasting impression on me. During a crucial meeting with a client at the hotel, I encountered an unexpected issue when a lady approached me, demanding that we lower my voice. Despite our efforts to conduct ourselves respectfully, her approach was rude and disrespectful. Thankfully, Eddie swiftly intervened with professionalism and tact. Not only did he handle the situation with grace, but he also went above and beyond to ensure my comfort and satisfaction. Recognizing the injustice of the encounter, Eddie generously offered me a couple of complementary items as a gesture of goodwill. His kindness and understanding transformed what could have been a negative experience into a positive one. Eddie's dedication to customer service and his commitment to resolving conflicts with diplomacy and empathy truly set him apart. His actions exemplify the values of hospitality and excellence that define the 1 Hotel experience. I am grateful for Eddie's assistance and commend him for his outstanding service. He is undoubtedly an asset to the team at 1 Hotel, and I look forward to returning knowing that I will be in good hands with professionals like Eddie Brown.

The room was dirty. The comforter (if you can call it that) had stains on it, as did the carpet. The sheets are not crisp white but gross off white/tan. It is DARK with terrible lighting. One light only flickered. The cement floor had cracks filled with dirt. I had to ask to have the room cleaned and left $20.00 for the housekeeper. When we returned the money was gone and there were clean sheets (still folded) touching the dirty wheels of my luggage. I had to call two more times to finally get it done. When I first told the front desk the room was not clean upon check in, the young man became extremely defensive. It looks beautiful on the website. It is not worth the price. It is worth noting that when the front desk sent the head of housekeeping, she did an amazing job. It looked properly cleaned, and she switched out all of the bedding (including brand new, different color comforters).

Overly expensive fees for service, refused to give us the included Nespresso machine until we were about to check out.

I've stayed at the 1 Hotel in Brooklyn twice now and both times I've enjoyed my stay. The first time I stayed I will say the staff wasn't really all that friendly or helpful. They didn't really tell us much about the hotel or what was going on at the hotel. They just checked us in and sent us on our way. The second time we stayed the staff was more friendly and accommodating. I've stayed in the Bridge Suite which has an amazing view of the Brooklyn bridge and a not so amazing view of the construction below. I've also stayed in the Skyline Bedroom suite. The suites say they are for four people but it the reality is that the suites are too intimate for 4 people. The bathroom doesn't have much privacy and is really giving couple vibes. Both suites are nice and cozy with great views. The skyline has a hammock. I love the hotels soaps and lotions which give a very calming smell to your stay. They pride themselves on being eco friendly as well. The lobby is cozy and a decent place to get some work done however I do think the lobby should be limited to guests because it does get crowded. My only gripe is that for the price of the suites the in room mini bar should be included.

Arbitrary $50/night "destination fee" charged in addition to regular rate. No advanced notice was provided.

I travel a lot for work, New York is the city I frequent the most. I've stayed at this hotel multiple times, I will say that I've had good experiences, and I've had some not to great experiences. I should have learned my lesson. I don't care how "nice" this place it and how great the views are, stay away especially if you're a woman traveling alone. Past Issues: - Once woke up one morning with bites all over the left side of my body (the side I sleep on) -- face, torso, leg, arm. I can't confirm but I think it was bedbugs. I needed steroids to help resolve it! - Once had wet towels on the floor of my bathroom when I checked in. - Once had the fire alarms go off ONLY IN MY ROOM repeatedly and it took forever to resolve -- so much for a restful night. No offer to change my room. - Was once given keys to an occupied room, imagine the surprise and embarrassment for both parties in this situation, not to mention coming off a long day of travel and meetings and having to go back down to the lobby/wait get a correct room. This alone wasn't enough to make me not stay here again, but the combination with my recent issue is what is finally putting me off this brand of hotels all together. Recent Issue: It was nearly midnight, I brought my young son with me on this particular trip. We were already in bed when someone started aggressively knocking. I LEAPED out of bed looked out the peep hole to see a man and several other people talking loudly and laughing, but I didn't say a word. The man said "room service" to which I replied NO. Then he OPENED my door and started to come in. I was able to slam the door closed but I had to hold the lock with my hands. The man on the other side insisted he was room service - I said firmly MULTIPLE times that I did not order room service and to go away. He FINALLY did. Room service ends at 10pm and room service personnel should NOT have master keys to rooms. I held the lock in position until I felt it was safe to leave the door to call the front desk because there is NO SAFETY LATCH at this hotel!!! The front desk confirmed room service is NOT able to enter your room and reassured me they would speak to security and call me back. About 30 minutes later, another loud knock came again but this time no one was in the hallway. I called the front desk again because they never followed up -- and clearly I'm terrified and I can't sleep (thankfully my son slept through it all) -- and they had a new story. They said it was in fact room service, and that they had been given permission to enter (even with the do not disturb on!) by the person who ordered (after hours? room service ended at 10 and this was midnight!) but the person ordered to the wrong room. This was a clear security breach that the hotel just didn't want to admit to (they had given me someone else's key before!). Every person I spoke to had a different "story" to explain what happened. Anyway, I obviously checked out ahead of my original schedule and won't be staying at this hotel EVER again. They did offer to upgrade my room but why on earth would that make me feel more comfortable?

This is the worst hotel I've ever stayed in my entire life. We stayed here for a wedding me and my wife. There was no air-conditioning in the room. They thought that we were crazy for asking to be upgraded to a room that has air-conditioning. We spoke to the manager who said that they were going to send an engineer to fix our air-conditioning although he was unable to. They had to switch to another room which also did not have air-conditioning. At this point. It was 2 AM and we have been trying for two hours to just get into a room that has the bare minimum of a temperature under 70°. It was the rudest staff I've ever encountered in my entire life. The engineer was nice but the front desk manager had no idea what he was doing and said that it wasn't his job he said that to me he said it's not his job. He said I'm just the front desk manager, to be honest, the hotel is beautiful but the staff is some of the worst I've ever seen in my entire life. I would never stay in this hotel again I hated every minute of it and I will do everything I can to make sure that everyone knows how terrible this place is.I wish I can give the zero stars.

This is definitely a beautiful boutique style hotel with a lot of plants and greenery throughout the hotel, it almost reminded me of the rainforest Café a little bit, the staff is somewhat friendly. They forget to tell you when you check in how to operate the elevator and also it is a bit. Pricey, Harriet's rooftop is situated on the top floor with great views, it's a very trendy bar I definitely recommend it , the question is, will I ever come back, I'm not sure

This hotel is one of those that will remain in your memory forever. The smell, the view of the Brooklyn Bridge, the decor, the service, the atmosphere, there are no words to describe this experience. After the century-old Copacabana Palace hotel in Rio de Janeiro, this one will remain in my heart

-First Impression- Right as you enter the lobby, you get swept up in the relaxing aroma wafting through the hotel. Lavender mixed with something else, maybe? Couldn't quite put my finger on it. -Food- All I ate was truffle fries by the pool, and of course they were delicious, lol. Also had brunch at the Osprey, will do a separate review on that!-Service- Keyana was such a sweetheart at the rooftop! She made sure me and my friends were comfortable, well fed, and that our cups runneth over! Aquil helped us change our rooms (my friend booked it this way, please don't ask me why, lmao), had our luggage and belongings moved to the new room and found us on the rooftop to give us our new keys. Diego and Justin helped us with our bags during checkout. Literally everyone was so kind!-Price- Definitely gonna cost a pretty penny, but you've gotta treat yourself every now and again! -Did Not Like- The only thing that bothered me a little bit was water leaked out of the shower into the bathroom area. I just put some towels down to contain it and clean up afterwards.-Noteworthy- The view from the rooftop is so gorgeous! Even if you go up there for only a few minutes, take it in! Also, not sure if it's all the rooms, but the two rooms we stayed in had filtered water fountains in them which I loved! Stay hydrated friends!!!-Recommended?- Yes! Yes! Yes! 1000% This is my favorite hotel that I've ever stayed at! Can't wait to hit the rooftop again next summer!

It's one of those fake nice hotels. I will say the bed was comfy and some of the staff was nice. However. Unless you pay for one of the nicer views your going to get a sad sight out of your window. The grilled salmon I ordered from room service arrived raw/cold with a moldy napkin on the side. Also, I was gently pushing the window curtains open and a metal bar fell and wacked me on the head. So if you have children. Beware lol

1 Hotel in DUMBO is a breathtaking stay that seamlessly combines sustainability with quiet luxury. From the moment you step into the eco-chic lobby, you're greeted by a lush, living wall that sets the tone for the entire experience. Rooms at 1 Hotel are a haven of comfort, with organic linens and stunning views of the iconic Brooklyn Bridge and Manhattan skyline. The eco-friendly moral extends to the amenities, including the signature Bamford Spa and the rooftop bar, where their crafted cocktails contain ingredients that are locally sourced and organic. What truly sets 1 Hotel apart is its dedication to creating a greener world without compromising on luxury.

Roof top restaurant. We were seated for our reservation promptly. My only issue was how long it took for the food to come. My nephew ended up falling asleep while we waited. This was due to a large party ordering individual meals. 45 minutes later the food arrived. The waiters were amazing and they all apologized for the long wait. I will most likely return. The vibe was amazing. Food10/10Gyoza very tasty Spicy salmon over crispy rice. My niece loved it. DrinksPaloma taste good and the alcohol wasn't overwhelming.

We chose this beautiful hotel for our wedding and it was nothing short of spectacular. Seeing as how it was our wedding, the staff upgraded us with some treats in the room. Check in and check out was a smooth process. The dining areas + rooftop are beautiful. The rooftop bar was unreal in its views, (although the food was pretty terrible). As we stayed during peak season, the pricing was $850/night, so I recommend perhaps looking at it off season because there are plenty of other beautiful rooftop views in nyc if you're on a budget m. It's pretty uncommon for us Brooklyn natives to be impressed by a new addition to Brooklyn, but 1 Hotel did the job.
