Lowerline is a cozy restaurant that offers delicious gumbo, shrimp po boy, and clams. The close interaction with the clam shucker adds to the dining experience. Although the portions are small and the seating could be more accommodating, the authentic NOLA flavors make up for it. The exposed brick interior creates a warm atmosphere, but parking can be challenging. The po boys are of good quality, and the crawfish étouffée and ham bone + red beans are customer favorites. The service is friendly and breezy, and the ambiance is lovely, especially later in the night with the music and lighting. While the open kitchen can lead to lingering food smells, the delicious food and welcoming atmosphere make Lowerline a local favorite.
