Great vibes, music and quality food! The service was prompt and the staff very professional and knowledgeable about the menu and offerings. Our waiter really helped enhance our visit after discovering the restaurant via Instagram influencer post. My wife and I were celebrating our wedding anniversary in NYC so that is how we ended up going for a bite in Brooklyn. Our favorite dishes was the Ackee and salt fish egg rolls, the goat bun appetizer, the jerk hen and festival (we wish the festival could be purchased as a side so that we could order more) and the Ras Pasta(chefs kiss). All the food tasted fresh and the portion size to price point was just right. We will definitely be back again and recommend this restaurant to others. The drink special (lychee margarita) was also very tasty and a great way to start the dining experience.

The restaurant is very spacious and clean. For appetizers, my family and I ordered the octopus, goat puff and ackee and salt fish. The octopus was a bit salty, the goat puff was tasty and the ackee w/ callaloo was surprisingly the best. For entree, my sister and I both ordered oxtail w/rice and peas $45. The most expensive underwhelming oxtail you’ll ever have. The gravy was watery and the flavor was just ok. I expected more for that price. We were expecting to end the night with one of their desserts on the menu, but unfortunately the only dessert available was vanilla ice cream.

This place was a culinary delight with a relaxed atmosphere. Make a reservation, but we were fortunate enough to walk in. They have a charming small dining area downstairs, seating outdoors on the patio, and an upstairs. Our waiter was incredibly kind and patient, considering it was our first visit.

As an appetizer, we indulged in the ribs, which were absolutely amazing! They came with a side of guacamole that added a delightful touch. To start our main course, we opted for the Caesar salad, which was generously topped with three huge, delicious grilled prawns. The steak was the special for tonight, and it was accompanied by a flavorful chimichurri sauce and a delectable sauce. The potatoes complemented the steak perfectly, making it a truly divine dish.

To end our meal, we savored the frozen cocktail, which was a great starter. Overall, our experience at this restaurant was truly memorable, and we highly recommend it to anyone seeking a delicious and relaxed dining experience.

The dishes show attention to detail, the service shows personal care, and prices show fairness. Their workers delivered care that guarantees another visit. Every dish was a new adventure. The restaurant exceeds industry standards. The restaurant provides remarkable quality.

This place is awesome. The service is great, the food is good, and the waiters are very friendly. Also, the ambience and the atmosphere are very relaxing and cool, there is no one rushing you at all. It is also a very clean place. My friend and I can’t wait to come back.

I came as a single diner, and have been excited to give Mango Bay a try, hearing great feedback from trusted community. When it finally happened, my main course, the soft shell crab was quite disappointing. The coating was soggy and falling off, and the shell itself remained chewy rather than crisp and tender. The curry sauce overpowered the crab rather than complementing it, making the dish feel imbalanced — especially for the price point.
The atmosphere was lively and loud, which I did not mind, noticing that my water is not being refilled, I asked them to leave the carafe on the table.
I was pretty underwhelmed, and couldn’t finish my main course.

I’ve been when the location was Imani’s. I love a good dinner experience but it was a bit disappointing. We went to celebrate my friends birthday dinner and the service was lack luster. I work in hospitality so my service standards are already high regardless of the establishment. We sat upstairs which has a cute ambiance and setting. You feel like you’re in someone’s living room which I can appreciate. The food was great but the service was not! There was only one server for the entire top floor which honestly they needed two. He was overwhelmed with the dinner rush. The back server wasn’t able to assist as much as he could have to put in orders or check on drinks. One entree arrived much earlier than the rest of the table so one person was left eating before the remainder of us got our food. Which is never ideal for any dinner setting. The cocktails also took a long time to come. We had to mention to our server multiple times for a simple Shirley Temple but honestly it was because he had too many tables so we didn’t fault him at all. As for the food everything was really good. I had the fried snapper and rice and peas someone else the burger and oxtails. Everyone was happy with their meal. It seems to not fail black establishments get the food right but somehow lack on the service. Was still happy to support :)

Delicious. Sadly had to update my review, they got rid of the two best cocktails and dinner service upstairs was painfully slow; we left after 20minutes of no one coming to serve us. I hope they get better because the food is good and bring back the Calypso Fashioned. It truly was one of the best old fashioned I’ve ever had.

I’ve long considered this restaurant a go-to spot, so I was excited to visit on July 4th. Unfortunately, the experience fell short of expectations.
We were promptly seated and started with drinks. Our waiter enthusiastically recommended the special sorrel margarita, so all five of us ordered one. After a toast and our first sip, we all agreed something was off. The margarita tasted watery, almost as if it was pre-mixed with sorrel juice added just for color.
Disappointed, we moved on to our main courses, which took longer than expected to arrive. We ordered a variety of dishes: oxtails, steak, a burger, and fried fish, each served with rice and peas. The oxtails stood out as the highlight, but the other mains were underwhelming and didn’t live up to the restaurant’s hype. The rice and peas, a Caribbean staple, was a major letdown. As someone familiar with authentic rice and peas, I found the flavor so off that we barely touched it. The kitchen staff cleared away five nearly untouched bowls, leaving us to eat just the proteins.
To top it off, while we were dining, I was shocked to receive a $100 no-show charge from the restaurant a baffling mistake.
On a positive note, the curry goat patty was a standout and worth trying.
Overall, I’d rate this experience a 3/10. It’s possible the kitchen and bar were having an off night, but this visit was disappointing,
