What nyc lacks in big grocery chains, they make up in local mom and pop businesses! This is probably the most comprehensive local fish market I've been to. They have all sorts of fish, including live eel! And the gentlemen here are so kind. Pro tip: Cash only
Good, fast service. Selection of fish is fresh and he told me to grab a free lemon on the way out. Gutting and cleaning is free. Whole branzino for $12.00. Pricier than Chinese fish markets but quality is more consistent.
