Obscure Coffee Roasters is a small neighborhood cafe and nano roaster that specializes in South American coffee beans. The coffee selection is great and accurately brewed to bring out the desired characteristics of each varietal and processing method. The pour over technique is way better than other spots, allowing customers to taste all the notes listed on the coffee description. One reviewer had the Edinson Argote and the Edwin Noreña, noting the Edinson Argote had a tart black cherry note. Another ordered a pour-over with anaerobic, natural gesha from Peru, brewed on a v60, well balanced with good clarity and yellow fruit juiciness. The service is wonderful; Lucas and Norb were very welcoming and friendly. The environment is quiet with plenty of seating and great sunlight during the day for working. It is never too busy, making it a great spot for people working from home. The owner puts a lot of effort and care into the coffee beans, the roasting, and the overall making process. There is a case with pastries and sourdough doughnuts. If you buy a bag of beans you get a free espresso or drip coffee.
