Overall, the service and staff were very nice and attentive. Ambiance is comfortable and quiet. Ordered japchae with beef, pancit, lechon and fresh lumpia along with a Makku. The japchae was delicious with beef with deep searing. By far the best dish. The lechon is just as others have described- juicy and crispy with a great sauce. I’ve been coming to Purple Yam for over ten years semi regularly and the quality is just insanely consistent. I don’t really deviate from the Chicken Adobo (which has such an incredible sauce, I love the coconut milk addition to it) and the Beef Tapsikog with fried eggs and garlic fried rice. They are both absolute sureshots. Dumplings are also incredible. They do different ones every day. I honestly do not know why this establishment is not rated a 10 Stars across the board! The food is absolutely delicious ?. We have tried everything on the menu, and it is all amazing! The service is phenomenal. It feels like coming home to family.
