Please, how can you have the little detail of putting a breakfast like cold potatoes, burnt bacon andEggs more of the same, the sliced bread the first cover of the bread, the plate sticky with grease and poorly washed, a real shame. And the price for that breakfast, shameful. The tables are seriously sticky from so much accumulated grease!!They were doing us a favor by serving breakfast to my partner and myself. We came from work and we were really hungry, and out of hunger we had to eat it.Please take the service and food seriouslyThank you

Unfortunately, they do not speak any english. Can’t order over the phone. But if you go in, you can point at the food you want. I got chicken with a side salad. The salad comes with no dressing and they put this huge piece of mushy fat in my chicken. Weplaced a large order over the phone, went to pick it up and then they started putting it together. They forgot the empanada we ordered.

I went into this place after not having been here for a few years. I just got a standard order of rice and beans, with a 1/2 chicken. No veggies or other sides. The food was as good as ever, but I couldn't believe the price, $15 dollars! This is just a small, hole in the wall type place, with everything out on a steam counter. The price has almost doubled, from just a few years ago!Vegetarian options: Limited vegetarian selection

The food was excellent. The one reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is that it’s a bit more expensive than I would expect.

hi, my fellow foodies. I'm New York visiting, and I wanted some Spanish food so we found this restaurant on Yelp. Called Rice and Beans restaurant. The food is delicious its old-school food. Nothing spectacular. It's down to earth good eats. There's a scene in ratatouille the movie where the food credit visit the restaurant, and the chef makes a dish that was made specially for him. The dish was ratatouille, and he said it reminds him of his mothers cooking when he was a little boy. This is what this fool remind me of, great cooking. Nothing spectacular. Just great down home down cooking. The food is excellent. Everyone should try it.

Ok ok, my first time having Monfongo and it won't be my last time. The food from this place is good. The only downside was the salad it wasn't good .maybe because I didn't have dressing but it wasn't good. The monfingo was good I should have asked for some garlic but it was good.

I'm genuinely pissed off I just paid 14 dollars for a tray of mostly rice, literally 2 plantains, and some beans. I swear a small platter didn't cost me that last week unless pepper steak is more than beef stew. I did say beef stew which they didn't have right now. Im mad that I said beef stew ahead and she didn't say anything until after my tray was full. I decided to take her suggestion for peppersteak... I still high key want my 14 dollars back though because 14? The pepper steak is very tough and not at all like beef stew in anyway, simple not for me personally.. I am very upset. Anyway, the portions sizes are pretty good aside. The location is conveniently close to the train station and work lunch. I'd give 5/10 on taste overall. Maybe they are just not for me.Edit. After attempting to eat the food, I only got more upset. This was my 3rd time here and my absolute last. Now both me and my tummy are annoyed.

I ate here two nights in a row. The first night, just rice and beans with plantains and the second, chicken with rice and beans and tostones. The food was tasty, the portion size generous and the price reasonable. Will return next time I'm nearby.

I ordered food from them on Saturday the 29th of April 2023 and today is Monday May 1st. My husband and I both got food poisoning and by Sunday (their closed) the food was spoiled (smelled bad). I ordered the soup that I didn't get a chance to eat but my husband had a few carrots and I put some of the broth on my rice. I ordered bake chicken as well as the stew and two cakes with the milk at the bottom which was dry. Never again and be aware they sell old food and mixed with new. Also there's no parking.

After seeing this many times from my co workers, I finally got to Rice and Beans. My co worker got it for me as takeout (so I can't rate the inside/service), so this is just strictly based on the food. The container was packed and very neatly packaged. The chicken is just as flavorful as it looks, however the rice and the beans didn't match. It lacked the authenticity that I was looking for, but the chicken carried the meal!I will be getting chicken from here again yes, if it's sold alone.
