Izakaya Ryujin is a casual, no frills spot that delivers where it counts. The place has a simple, minimalist decor with a few eye-catching art pieces. The vibe is cozy and jazzy. The food is solid, with a nice variety of options including ramen, rice bowls, and appetizers. The ramen is legit, with wonderful flavorful broth and excellent real Japanese noodles. Specific meals include a really good, flavorful vegetarian ramen, a wonderful spicy miso ramen, a delicious and very filling Veggie miso, and a yuzu shio with an exquisite broth. There is also an impressive selection of house-made sake and an exquisite earl grey infused plum wine. The service is great, fast, attentive, and welcoming. The price is great for the size and value. One of the best parts is they are open till 2AM on the weekends.
