I think it’s been renamed Hunter’s grill. Had some amazing oxtails and rice and beans here. Workers were busy putting out new trays. If you’re into richly flavored, comforting stews, this is a great choice.
I just came here today for lunch with my aunt. Let’s start with cleanliness… they ask you to use the available disposable gloves and hand sanitizer which is an A+ in my book since it’s self serve. The food was very nicely displayed and everything was fresh. I ended up getting one plate to dine in and then got two to go so my partner at home could taste too. My aunt got an extra one too. Smokey island grill is the only spot I know of where you can create your own plate. For West Indian cuisine, that’s huge because sometimes I don’t want to pick between oxtails, curry goat, jerk, pork, etc. with how much inflation has increased the cost of meat… I love that I can get a little of everything for a decent price in the food is always cooked well.
