Such delicious ice cream and lovely ladies serving us. Great choices, comfortable seating and cute area.
Got the pumpkin cheesecake sundae
My to go ice cream place when I am in Williamsburg. Delicious and great staff!
The honeycomb ice cream was an absolute treat—rich, creamy, and perfectly balanced between sweetness and that subtle caramel crunch from the honeycomb pieces. The texture was spot on: smooth and velvety, with those little golden nuggets adding just the right amount of bite. What I really enjoyed was that it wasn’t overly sugary; the flavor felt indulgent but still light enough to keep me going back for another scoop. Paired with the freshly made waffle cone, it was the kind of ice cream that makes you slow down just to savor it. Definitely one of the best honeycomb scoops I’ve had in a long time.
Expensive for the amount of ice cream given. They need a bigger scooper, it Feels like the have different scoops for different faces. $25 for these 2 cups and a waffle cup on the side.
My partner and I love stopping here on the way home after a long day. Anytime we see Harrison working we have to stop by to say hello. He makes the whole atmosphere so welcoming and keeps the energy high. Love the ice cream!!
Love that they have vegan options for scoops but sadly they no longer have vegan whip cream OR vegan fudge - so no more sundaes :(
So thankful for vegan ice cream options! The cone I got (sweet potato and marshmallow) was INCREDIBLE. It seems like they're having supply chain issues currently, but they still had several dairy and non-dairy options.
So good........ so many interesting flavors too
Friendly staff and yummy ice cream. At the moment there aren’t a ton of vegan options though.

Normally great ice cream but I got cucked by my scoop at this location. Can’t even guess that I ordered chocolate chip cookie dough. Literally only had one piece of cookie dough.
Awesome
I dont want to have to leave a negative review but this once is worth sharing. I love this location family and I have been coming here and supporting this location as it is close to us I always had positive things to say after each visit but they really missed the mark. I got in today at this location from work needing an ice cream after a long day all was well till it came to the ordering process I originally wanted something on the menu cashier (not the issue). However another male employee rudely spoke to me and the cashier who was taking my order in a harsh tone that the crushed cone was out. I have PTSD and when I hear someone raised their voice I feel THREAT-END !!. I worked in retail for a while and that is not how you treat employees or customers the male employee could have said it nicely and not in such a harsh tone. This incident ruined my experience to the point I did not even want to eat what I ordered gave it to someone else.
this incident made me never want to ever come back if this is what I need to deal with each time (at this location).
Sorry van leuwwen you missed the mark
After a Disappointing Experience Elsewhere, Van Leeuwen Deserves the Spotlight
After posting a negative review about a disappointing experience at Caffe Panna Greenpoint, it felt only fair to also highlight a place that truly deserves praise.
Van Leeuwen Greenpoint has been a part of our family's life for nearly 20 years, ever since their very first truck in Williamsburg. Their ice cream is outstanding — full of real, vibrant flavors (I still dream about their Palm Sugar flavor!) and their Earl Grey remains a personal favorite.
But it’s not just about the flavors. It's about the feeling you get when you walk into Van Leeuwen: genuine kindness, no pretension, a welcoming atmosphere whether you're a local, a regular, or just dropping by. The colors, the packaging, the vibe — everything about Van Leeuwen radiates authenticity and care.
In a neighborhood where new places sometimes prioritize hype over hospitality, Van Leeuwen is the real thing. We're grateful to have them and will continue to return again and again.
Highly, highly recommend.
I can’t say the ice cream isn’t good—it is—but Van Leeuwen is extraordinarily expensive. I paid $8.11 for just one scoop of ice cream. That’s wild.
For comparison, Cafe Panna offers the same quality (arguably even better) and gives you two scoops plus a free topping for the same price.
I’ve always loved Van Leeuwen’s ice cream, but honestly, at these prices, I just can’t justify going back.
