“This was a girls night out trying a new restaurant which is something we do regularly. This is a small place maybe 20 - 25 ppl could eat in. The waitress bought us an appetizer to start with of Pepper Kala. The pepper Kala was very tasty. I ordered the Atteike which was fried tilapia and joloff rice, I also ordered the pepper soup which she stated had both chicken and goat meat. My drink was a sprite. Each of my friends ordered something different unfortunately, they were not pleased with their choices and ended up taking the food home to family. My meal was the most expensive of the purchases and came out to ? 40 plus I gave the waitress/cook/owner a tip. There were only 2 women doing everything so I surmised it’s just a tiny family establishment. I felt the overall experience was not wasted since I am a lover of all things culture. I’m glad I tried the restaurant.Vegetarian options: There are several rice dishes and they may be able to season them to taste as well the Kala is a type of pastry.Parking: Parking is outside in front of the restaurant and across from the location on the sidewalk and is ample free parking.“

“Ethiopian cuisine is a hidden gem, and my experience at Abyssinia Ethiopia Cuisine was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment I stepped in, I was enveloped in the rich aromas of spices and the warm hospitality of the staff. The highlight of the meal was undoubtedly the traditional Ethiopian injera, a spongy flatbread that serves as both plate and utensil. It was the perfect vessel for sampling an array of flavorful dishes. The variety of vegetarian and meat options pleased everyone at our table, from the hearty lentil stews to the succulent lamb tibs. The flavors were complex and vibrant, with each dish offering a unique blend of spices and textures. The berbere spice blend, a staple in Ethiopian cooking, added a delightful kick to many of the dishes without overwhelming the palate.“
