Great place to hang and if you in the mood for game night just walk in the back room!
Taylor is a mean girl. She gives Allentown bartenders a BAD name. Get a new line of work girl, this ain’t for you 🫰
Not a completely horrific place, exactly. Unfortunately, it's full of straight people, not to mention very peculiar doormen. And it's not really even remotely a gay bar. It's a very odd place.

Rudest female bartender and terrifying security guard (that didn't need to be screaming at me).
I went in there for a takeout sandwich and a water while I waited. I wasn't drinking, I smiled at the female bartender, asked for 2 bologna sandwiches, then changed it to 1 last minute because I didnt know when my friend was showing up. She then rudely responded, "1 or 2?!" I responded with "sorry, 1." and she rolled her eyes at me. I was standing, about to sit at a stool that was not taken, next to a stool with a water in front of it (so presumably taken). I noticed this. She looked at me and said in the rudest tone, just so you know someone is sitting there (the stool where I was not going to sit). I made a joke about making sure I didn't sit there and she snapped at me, "i'm doing my job, I don't have to serve you a sandwich, actually you're getting it to go, you're not staying here." She then went on with "you're not the only person at this bar and you're acting like you are!" meanwhile, I wasn't demanding anything or yelling, the place wasn't crowded, and I only ordered a sandwich when she came up to me and asked what I wanted. she had it out for me I guess, and it was scary. I informed her I wasn't staying there anyway, and I wanted the sandwich to go. I thought that was clear since I merely ordered a tap water to wait for my sandwich while waiting. I tried to explain this to her and she was so angry. The man who was sitting at the spot next to me came back, asked where his jack & coke was, and the bartender told him "I didn't know you were coming back." I mistakenly make an audible comment that I thought was funny (do NOT do this to her, this was stupid of me), since she was so set on making sure I was no where near his seat (that I wasn't going to sit at anyway). She became incredibly angry, threw money at me, told me I wasn't getting a sandwich and to get out, that I was being rude since I arrived, etc etc. Before I could understand what was going on, a second later, a male security guard agressively got in my face and escorted me out as if I was going to argue and stay. At this point, my friends meeting me there showed up. I explained that I couldn't stay, and the security guard was screaming in my face to leave. I paused just to say bye to my friends again and the security guard got closer to my face and screamed at me louder, and pushed me. It as honestly terrifying. I am 5'1, I was not belligerent. It was humiliating, jarring, and completely unnecessary. My friends were equally as confused, as we were together before this and they knew I wasn't drunk or anything. I used to go there when I was younger, and I can say as long as that female bartender is there I will never go back, even if just for takeout. She is angry at the world.

I recently had the chance to visit Frizzy's Bar & Grill on Allen Street, and let me tell you, it was an experience I'm eager to share. Walking into Frizzy's, you're immediately greeted by its divey charm, a hallmark of Buffalo's vibrant bar scene. It's the kind of place that feels immediately welcoming, with a lively atmosphere that promises a good time. From the moment I stepped in, the energy was palpable. The place buzzes with a youthful vibe, perfectly balancing between being busy enough to feel like the place to be, yet offering just enough personal space to not feel overcrowded. I noticed right off the bat the pool table in the basement, a spot that quickly became the center of our evening's entertainment. One thing I absolutely must mention – and a huge draw for my friends and me – is their photo booth. Who doesn't love a good photo booth to help capture your memories? It's such a fun way to keep a memento of a great night out, and Frizzy's offers just that. Amidst the laughs, the games of pool, and the rounds of drinks, we made sure to squeeze in a photo session. It's these little things that add up to make an evening special.Speaking of drinks, the prices were fair, and the selection of beers on tap was impressive. I appreciated the quick service from the friendly bartenders, even with the place being quite packed. It's not every day you find a bar that manages to maintain such a welcoming atmosphere on a busy night. But perhaps what stood out to me the most was the security presence. It made the whole experience feel safe and cared for, which isn't something I take for granted. In all, Frizzy's Bar & Grill embodies the classic Buffalo dive bar experience with its own unique twists – like the beloved photo booth. It's a place that caters to a wide variety of people, making it worth a visit whether you're a local or just passing through. I can't wait to go back, maybe on a Tuesday, Friday, or Saturday night, which I've heard are the best times to catch the true essence of Frizzy's.

The bartender that was working Saturday night March 9th, was the rudest woman I have ever encountered. I ordered a water and she literally slammed it down in front of me and when I said thank you she rolled her eyes and walked away. I then was sitting at a table with my friends, waiting for our ride home (no one was causing a scene or anything) we were literally sitting there talking. She comes over 10 minutes later and goes “if all you guys are doing is sitting here drinking water you need to leave right now”. You kick someone out for drinking water??????? She continued to push us out of the bar and stated that the buffalo police department was on their way, I’m sorry what???? This woman needs intense therapy. This place needs to be shut down. I will never be back here along with my friends.

The bar tender was so rude for absolutely no reason at all. We came in order our drinks and my brother was indecisive so he took a minute to order mean while it was 3 other people ordering. But she was fixated on him. He asked for a double of patron the only had enough for a half a shot she still charged him for a double. Now after all this she was asking who was paying for what. The whole time my brother had his money in hand. Out of nowhere she was like “yall act like yall never been out so who’s paying I need the money now I been over here for five minutes and no money has been paid” remember it’s 4 people ordering. She was just all out rude for absolutely no reason at all. Made our experience very uncomfortable. Plus we were the only black people in the whole bar so yeah.
