I ordered a turkey hoagie from Jim’s Steakout on Elmwood Ave, my sandwich was in a puddle of liquid to the point it dripped out of the wrapper when I took it out and the turkey was extremely salty. I spoke to the owner Dave who blamed me for my sandwich being that way. Saying I should know what I ordered. I explained I didn’t order a wet/ salty sandwich. He still insisted it was my fault with no resolution offered. I will never order from there again.

I haven't had a sub at Jim's, and that's kinda their thing, but their chicken and fries are excellent. They have a sizable lobby, so it's a good spot to eat in. They're also open very late (3 AM or later) which is great for night owls who want to get a late supper.

I just stopped in here to use the restroom quickly q and the place is immaculate. Very very impressive. I was in the Dunkin’ Donuts at University yesterday and it was a pigsty even though four people were working, and no one was in the restaurant.

Jim’s ain’t what it used to be. I waited almost an hour for my food. The kids behind the register, fryer, flat top and taco station are slow incompetent and ignorant… my food came late. Came cold and my Jefferson lacked the secret sauce… this has been the case the last few times I’ve been here late night. With great sadness I hate to say that this is the last time I ever choose to do a late night stop at Jim’s steak out.

This has been my taco joint for 20 years and just can't go back. Staff too stoned to take orders properly. Literally review order at least 6 times and half of order was missing again... When I called same guy just didn't get it.. the, "can I put you on hold"??? I'm done...

Horrible!!! First They Mess up taking Order had to have it refined then they don't give me my drinks I had to ask then they still messed up n put nasty as tomatoes on it when I told them 3x not to!!
Walked in and ordered 2 subs. 1 sub was made correctly the other was completely wrong, and didnt find out till after getting home. Called the strore and let them know, drove back for the remade sub and again the sub was made completely wrong. Making it wrong once on a busy night i can understand, but twice, that is ridiculous.

The food is good, but I've ordered from this location a half a dozen tubes and _every_ time they mess up one of my alterations. I order sauce on the side and it's on the sandwich or not in the order. Wrong type of fries. Etc.

Such a great spot and a must-try if you are not local and in the area, as we were.We were not adventurous enough to try the steak and chicken together, but loved them both sampled individually.Buffalo chicken was perfect - "real" chicken, unlike a lot of places these days and just spicy enough.The steak was also great - good bread, well seasoned meat.Wish we lived closer - so many other items I would love to try.
