The Flaming Fish Reviews
Our party of 4 went on Saturday about 7 pm. We each ordered something different, and everything was delicious. Our server, 'D', was great. One big drawback...there is no bar! Even a nice glass of wine or a cold beer would have gone very well with the meal, the ambiance, and the wonderful live music.
A trip to The Flaming Fish in Buffalo, NY, is a must for any seafood lover, especially for those who enjoy a Southern-inspired twist on classic dishes. My recent meal there was a delightful experience, with a couple of standout items that deserve a special mention.

The Flaming Fish is a casual yet nice restaurant celebrated for its amazing food and great service. The menu features a variety of Southern-inspired dishes, including the highly recommended fried snapper, shrimp po boy, and sweet potatoes. The shrimp po boy is especially praised, often loaded with eight large shrimp, making it a filling option. The salmon sliders are a must-try, though they can be a bit dry if ordered towards the end of the kitchen's shift. The Creamy Cajun Pasta is a customer favorite, served in generous portions, while the fresh and lightly breaded crab cake remains a popular choice. The collard greens and candy yams are flavorful and well-seasoned, and the rice and beans have been noted for their authenticity and taste.
The staff at The Flaming Fish are consistently praised for their friendly and helpful service, ensuring an enjoyable dining experience for customers. While there may be occasional wait times for meals, customers are impressed with the quality of the food. Despite a few minor issues, such as the absence of a greeter at the door, the staff's attentiveness has left a positive impression. Customers plan to return to this Houston-based establishment, eager to enjoy dishes like the fried green tomatoes, fried walleye, and the highly recommended rice and beans.
