I order items with vodka sauce quite frequently and this was the best I have ever had. It was smooth and creamy with amazing flavor! The homemade focaccias bread was delicious and airy, the perfect piece of bread to soak up the remainder of the sauces from our appetizers (because it was too good to leave a single drop). For dinner I ordered the skirt steak, medium rare. The marinade was sensational, and the skirt steak cut like butter! It was cooked to perfection. Even the vegetables and potatoes it came with were delicious. My dad ordered the penne Ala vodka and added chicken cutlet to the dish. He couldn’t stop raving about it. We were so full after our appetizers and main entrees, but the dessert menu was too tempting. We shared a slice of the raspberry cheesecake and oh my goodness, if you like cheesecake, order this! They make it in house and it was the perfect sweet treat to end our dining experience. I paired it with a cappuccino. Monroe’s doesn’t disappoint, even to the last detail. He told me that my mother had wandered in after having her car bumper come completely loose on Marcus Ave. She had no phone, and was shaken up by the whole ordeal. Joe called me for her, and gave her a cup of hot tea. I went over, picked her up and got her home. Later my wife and I returned to pick up her car. We decided to eat dinner there and take advantage of the pasta night specials. The lasagna and the rigatoni with meat sauce were both excellent. Looking forward to the next steak night in August. The owner Michael is warm and friendly. I was in the mood for some beef so I ordered the beef salad and some tom yam noodle soup with shrimp. Let me tell you The beef salad was so good, it was very refreshing and delicious. I would’ve loved just a little bit of spice in it but otherwise it was a 10 in my opinion. The Tom yam noodle soup with shrimp was so delightful. The broth was so savory and light, the add of the bok choy and enoki mushrooms were so good. My boyfriend got the lychee juice and the general taksin chicken. Both were very good my only critique is that the chicken didn’t come with rice on the side. I’m not sure if it was missing or if it just doesn’t come with it, I think for that meal specifically rice should automatically come with it.
