“We tried Taco Island Mexican Cantina in Mount Sinai for the first time tonight. We ordered the Fish Taco, Avacado Taco, Chicken Bacon Ranch Burrito, chips with homemade guac, and lastly the Pizza De Birria. The food was outstanding!! Honestly, it was some of the best Authentic Mexican food we have ever had. (Even our picky kids loved it) The employees were also super nice and brought us chips and sauces while we waited. After we ate they also brought us to go containers and a bag with a smile. 10 out of 10. Will return soon.“

“Even though our son is a professional chef and we think of ourselves as "foodies," we have only limited experience with Caribbean cuisine. That's going to change, because we will absolutely go back to Taino's to explore more of the menu. We went around 6-ish on a Monday night to celebrate my birthday, and the only other patrons were at the bar. They appeared to be regulars, and the vibe was warm and casual. Coconut shrimp is one of my guilty pleasures and I order it every time I see it on a menu. Tainos' was quite possibly the best I've ever had: enormous shrimp coated in batter and flaked coconut, fried to crispy perfection and served with a to-die-for coconut dipping sauce. I'm also a skirt steak junkie, so ordered the Churrasco al la Parrilla which is served with a large serving of rice, bowl of red beans and chimichurri sauce, all presented beautifully, complete with an orchid. I was so full from the shrimp, I took nearly all of my entree home. Our lovely waitress (also the bartender) packed up my leftovers so they were just as attractive and appetizing the next day. Everything, including the steak, reheated perfectly. Granted, at my age I have a small appetite, but I'll be finishing the second (!) half of my steak, rice and beans tonight (night #3). Our son ordered the chicken Canasta de Platano (plantain 'baskets') appetizer and grudgingly gave me only a tiny (delicious) taste. Husband ordered fried cheese, and ate a whole piece even before I could take a photo. Again, I was allowed only one bite, but know I'll order my own the next time we're there. He also ordered the skirt steak, but our son tried the Colombian platter (steak, avocado, pork cracklings, fried egg, rice and more), which he loved. He gave me the sweet corn cakes which I devoured. Can't wait to try "mofungo," which seems to be a signature dish. The oxtails look fabulous, too.“

“horrible experience. went before we saw vic dibitetto at staller center and they offered us 20% off our bill because of the show. made a reservation online and we were seatly pretty quickly but it pretty much went downhill from there. they had one waitress and she was overwhelmed. food took an hour and was cold by the time we got it. lesson learned and we wont be going again.“

“I had the best experience with empanadas last week at the Grove City Food Truck Friday event. As a food truck owner myself I know when food is made with love and made authenticity. This food truck is taking me back to my childhood memories. The flavor of the food on this truck is absolutely amazing. My husband and I were absolutely mind blown. The only thing is that I wish they’d tell you when you call in an order that its cash only. Because I went there and I didn’t have cash only my card. However, they were generous and helped me out since it was my first time there.“

“The litteral only downside is that it's so popular it's a little cramped walking through the front door. And when the worst thing about your restaurant is it's too good that says a lot. The food is delicious and reasonably priced the torta del sol bring a notable stand out. The staff is friendly attentive and personable, and the bread is out of this world. Got seated and sated I was ready to order. I gave my order and asked for everything to come out together. This didn't happen I got queso and had no chips, I literally had to go most of the way in nyo the kitchen to get them. The manager Craig was rude when talking the my about my experience.
