I don't know why so low of stars but we ordered take out and everyone finished their food completely. We had the sesame chicken lunch and white rice, shrimp with lobster sauce and white rice, and shrimp chow mein. We also had the lunch sized wonton soup, our only complaint was how small and only one wonton. Everything else, we completely finished. It's a decent size for lunch portion and got to us very quickly!
Would have been 4 stars - the food tasted ok. The General Tso's chicken was odd - usually it's a little bit on the sweet side, this was not sweet at all, rather salty instead. The Veggie Lo Mein I had with it was good however. My son was less than thrilled with his chow mein. He ordered Beef Chow Mein, all he got was a bowl of veggies and sauce - no meat, no noodles. Our favorite Chinese restaurant closed many years ago and we tried a couple and were disappointed and gave up trying to find a place. A friend recommended New Golden Garden on Motor Pky in Central Islip and we decided to try it tonight and LOVED it!!! We love it more than our old place!!! Food came in a timely manner and was nice and hot and the delivery man was just so friendly and happy!!! Totally great experience!!
