“We had a small get-together at the house yesterday - just some good friends, live music, and a whole lot of great food. Huge thanks to Jake's Grub & Grog for catering the event. They made it super easy from start to finish. We picked a few things off their catering menu, told them how many people we had coming, and they helped us fine-tune everything. From there, they took over. The food came packed up in easy-to-transport boxes and tins, and it was amazing. Everyone had plenty, and we only had the slightest bit left over. If you’ve got an event coming up - big or small - I can’t recommend Jake’s enough. They crushed it.”

“I got married on 9/13/2025 at 916 Riverside and it was one of the best wedding related decisions my husband and I made. We had our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception on site and it was absolutely beautiful from start to finish. The ceremony was held outdoors on their patio, and our guests couldn’t stop commenting on how visually stunning it was. We primarily communicated with Jake, the owner, and Brooke, one of the head staff. They were both incredibly helpful and responded immediately whenever we reached out. Anytime I suggested something or asked if it was possible to do X, Y, or Z - Jake accepted with open arms and supported all of our ideas to make our big day personable and meaningful. Planning a wedding is stressful enough, but doing so via Jake and Brooke made it as painless as possible, and that is something I am very grateful for. Staff paid attention to small details and ensured that everything got done in the way we envisioned and requested. At the end of our reception, Jake’s staff cleaned up quickly and packed all decorations and center pieces onto two designated tables, which made it that much easier for my husband and I to pick up and pack up everything the day after. Everything went smoothly from start to finish and there’s truly nothing I can critique. 916 Riverside will always be special to us, and I would recommend them in a heartbeat for any couples who are hunting for a venue. Thank you Jake, Brooke, and all staff at 916 Riverside!”

“We have been here many times for nice sunny days on the patio, via boat, and for a few parties. The pizza is good, and recently, we enjoyed the pulled pork loaded nachos! Service is mostly good, but the facility does give that sticky floor vibe. They have lots of TVs to enjoy many different games at once and often host themed parties. Overall, it's a nice spot!”

“Contrary to my recent review on the Oswego Taco Bell (which is a terrible place with disgusting food and staff that don't care) this Taco Bell really sets the standard for good food and service. I've gone to both places numerous times and it's really night and day. Staff are extra friendly and the food is FRESH and delicious. They should be using the Central Square Taco Bell as the standard for service at all of them. Special shoutout to Rob H (Geo). He's so friendly and was greeting everyone and checking in on them to ensure their food was good and made conversation. I don't know what position he's in but he's manager material, at least. Im sure if you need someone to fix the Oswego one and set a standard for excellence he's your guy.”

“We had lunch here today and everything was amazing! Our Dad asked about Sloppy Joes and the server pointed out that they didn’t have them on the menu but suggested the brisket grilled cheese. Before our food arrived the serve came out with a specially made sloppy Joe for our Dad. He ate the whole thing and said it was delicious! I had the brisket grilled cheese and that was very yummy! For the chef to make a custom dish was so unexpected and very much appreciated. It was nice to see Dad happy and have a full belly!!!! We will be back for sure!”

“I have passed by this quaint restaurant once a week for several years, and finally decided to stop for lunch today. It's history as a home or former business is perfect for it's new venue. I give the two young women who run this place a 5 star rating for friendliness, greeting new coustimers as old friends, and granting me a free cookie as a firsttimer! There is a good variety of homemade baked goods . . . I highly reccommend the BrickHouse Cafe in Brewerton ! You will be glad you dined there.”
