“The food here is always great and everyone is super friendly. I personally love the chicken tenders combo and their blueberry pancakes are huge and so good and fluffy! Also they're also so quick and there cookies are nice and soft with that slightly crunchy bottom. Overall 10/10”

“Chef Kelsie and the Gingersnap Bakery team are the best! Kelsie was quick to respond to our initial inquiry and set up a virtual meeting to discuss timeline, design, and cost. We showed her some Pinterest inspo pics and she drew a sketch on the spot. Then we picked out some cake and frosting flavors to sample, and she mailed them to our house (cake tasting and a movie was so fun!). She was always easy to reach and quick to respond. On the wedding day, she personally delivered the cake to our venue, and everything went without a hitch – in fact, we completely forgot about the cake until we walked into our ballroom to preview it during cocktail hour. The cake itself was absolutely beautiful and hit the brief perfectly; it was exactly what we wanted. It was an 8-inch single-tier token cake for the photo op, and the photos turned out great. Moreover, it was DELICIOUS! Perfect texture, just the right amount of sweet. We got their mocha flavor with chocolate ganache as our filling/frosting but asked for vanilla buttercream on the outside to match our white theme. We are so excited to eat the slices we are saving for our one-year anniversary!”

He had an exceptionally friendly disposition, great knowledge of restaurant selections, very attentive to our needs and fabulous conversation skills! We thoroughly enjoyed having him as our Bridge Street Brat person and hope to stop in again to a community service that should be a shining example for other villages to follow! “I’ve been a loyal customer of Independent for several years, ordering for both parties and the occasional pizza night. I’ve tried many other places in the area, but nothing compares. The team consistently goes above and beyond, especially when I call to pre-order before opening hours, they always make it work. The pizza is, without a doubt, some of the best in the area. Prices are fair and reasonable, unlike many other places, and the staff and delivery drivers are always friendly and professional. I highly recommend them and will continue to be a regular customer.”

“Dined here last evening. The warm brie appetizer was very good and a nice change from ordinary appetizers. The steak was very tender and cooked to perfection. For dessert I had the chocolate torte which came with raspberry sauce. The combination of the chocolate and raspberry....yum! The staff were all nice, friendly, and informative. Fresh ingredients, a thin and crispy NYC-style crust, and everything was ready right at the pickup time I selected. The guy working gave a warm welcome and creates a friendly environment! “Was invited for the Syracuse Duke basketball game. But before had a wonderful dinner at Joey’s Restaurant. Noticed Big Mama’s Cheesecakes, hm, interesting/catchy name. Make note this is one dessert that so many make, so many claim to have so called mastered etc it is extremely difficult to master. From my 33 years of experience & being a 3 star chef from Manhattan & serving the biggest names in any form of entertainment I have to express that in this crazy culinary business this cheesecake was well beyond anything I have ever tasted. Magnificent isn’t even enough to say. There is a famous restaurant in France named Les Papilles. Exceptional in bakery especially cheesecake. The cheesecake here in Syracuse is right there with Les Papilles. This is a complete lottery win for this area of the country. I’ve been around the globe and have visited many culinary gems, this is in my top 20. Absolutely brilliant”

“Lorbirds is our favorite spot. I’m not a burger person. Never have been. The bacon jam burger here will change anyone’s thinking. It’s amazing. Along with so many of their dishes. Servers are all wonderful and the owner is beyond pleasant to chat with. 20/10. Can’t wait for summer and outdoor dining here.”

Kathy & her staff were able to make that happen as well! The cake was their PB Explosion, but with a sunflower theme for the birthday girl. Not only was the cake gorgeous, it was delicious, too! The cookie cake looked great, and got the nod of approval from the birthday boy. I didn't try that one myself.. I was too busy downing the pb explosion! Thank you so much, Kathy & crew!
