“one of my favs in downtown buffalo for years. the food is absolute perfection. the staff is top notch. the manager Adam is absolutely amazing and makes us feel like we are always welcome and appreciated. the ambiance of this amazing place along with an unbelievable whiskey selection has made this a once a week or evey other week place for us. honestly i wish i could eat and drink here every day!!!“
“This is a great reason to support local businesses. Pizza is very good and priced right, $5-8 less than the other guys. And it's a solid pie. Wings are another strong point: great sauces, cooked perfectly and a good size.Service is as warm and inviting as it gets, one person nicer than the next. Love taking the kids on the weekends because it's not going to cost you an arm and a leg. This is what a neighborhood local should be.“
“Just finished eating there and it was some of best gumbo I have ever eaten. I was born in Louisiana and I have lots of cajun family. I have grown up eating cajun food and I am picky about it. It was absolutely delicious!! Oh and the sweet tea!! Just like home. This was our last meal in NY before heading back home to TN. I am so glad we tried it!“
“Truly a hidden gem. I used to live in this neighborhood but never knew this place existed. I came here with my friend when they first opened over the weekend. It was pretty empty. There is a small bar when you first walk in. I ordered a blackened catfish po'boy which came with the sandwich, sweet potato fries covered with some sort of honey glaze, as well as slaw. The portion was large but overall, delish. Wish they toned a bit back on the spices on the fish but the fries and slaw were a nice touch. The restaurant got pretty busy quick afterwards. Would def recommend!“
“We got food from Far East Bayou last night and it was everything I hoped and more. The food was incredible - the seasonings were delicious and balanced, portions were fantastic for the price, and it was made to order. Lamont was incredibly friendly and did a fantastic job with our orders. Can’t wait to eat his food again!“
“Portions are kind of sparse for what you pay. 1/2 lb of crab leg for $32 should come with more than 1/2 of a smaller sized potato and an inch of corn on the cob. I am not exaggerating. That's exactly what you get. 1/2 of a potato and a one inch slice of corn on the cob.Otherwise, the service was fine and the food was very good. My only complaint is being very sparse with the sides.“
“Had a horrible experience. Our server was very pushy and barely serviced our table because she had bigger tables we remain calm and nice and tried to engage but all she did was talk over us every time we had an issue or needed something. We had an issue she argued and said that we had ordered something we didn't the bill ended up becoming $140 more than it should have and the manager did nothing but give a $40 gift card. When my husband told the server he didn't order king crabs he ordered snow crabs she argued with him and he just accepted it because he's a nice guy he didn't eat his crabs because he never eats king crabs he doesn't like the texture so he gave them to everyone else at the table we were also shorted crabs and when we brought up to the manager all he did was offer $40 gift card our bill was well over $300 I will never go back here again nothing was taken seriously. I felt like our night out was just one big scam. This was our first and last time there. And yes we did leave a tip for the server even though she did a horrible job. And to add both tables around us also had trouble with their servers and their bills.“
“As soon as I seen another Hot Pot placed opened up I was very eager to try this out. It's not a typical hot pot restaurant where you cook the food yourself, but you can pick what you want inside your dish (meats, seafoods, veggies, etc.). The selection of choices is very good, and the quality is great. I'll definitely be coming back for more.“
“Great spot for Cajun food! Lots of space, quiet atmosphere when we go for lunch. Great service from the one woman who is always there at opening time. Must try- bourbon chicken sandwich- it melts in your mouth! I can't help but get it every time.“
