We went to Shango’s for my daughter’s birthday. We were not disappointed, the food was delicious. It’ a small restaurant, so you need reservations. This is definitely a five star restaurant. I would go back again in a heartbeat.
My boyfriend and I went there last night for dinner! It was his first time and we both loved it. We got the calamari, ceviche, shrimp and grits and the penne paste! The calamari is by far the best I have ever had! The bartender Will was amazing and made our dining experience that much more enjoyable! We cannot wait to go back!

Shango New Orleans Bistro & Wine Bar offers a great environment and dining experience with friendly staff. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and very good service. The food is AMAZING and always spectacular, with literally everything being delicious. The menu features a range of dishes, including the Burrata appetizer, shrimp poyboy with sweet potato fries, salmon with jambalaya, seafood stew, and Mac and cheese sides. While some dishes are hit-or-miss, the server's patience and friendliness make up for any shortcomings. The drinks and desserts are also worth trying. Overall, it's a decent restaurant with fantastic service and an out of this world fantastic atmosphere.
