Shango, as always, was wonderful. On this day they hosted the former owners of The Terling Tavern for St. Patrick's day. The corned beef was exactly how I remembered it...one of the best meat dishes I've ever had. The service was what I usually expect at Shango, friendly and attentive. A fantastic day all around!
Just about the best food in Buffalo and definitely the best classic creole/cajun penne dish. The heart and soul behind the cooking is evident in every dish, with flavors so carefully balanced without ever being boring - creative but not gimmicky, innovative beyond just trendy, the menu is the perfect size with something for every palate.This is a must-visit in Buffalo and should be in everyone's rotation, it's that good!

Truly a hidden gem. I used to live in this neighborhood but never knew this place existed. I came here with my friend when they first opened over the weekend. It was pretty empty. There is a small bar when you first walk in. I ordered a blackened catfish po'boy which came with the sandwich, sweet potato fries covered with some sort of honey glaze, as well as slaw.
