ok ok, I was driving through Clarence and searched coffee near me, amongst the usual spots, Prominent popped up. I love not so corporate coffee shops so I decided to give it a shot. To be honest, I didn't run inside to pick-up my two iced lattes, my husband did. He said the inside was warm, quaint & clean. The atmosphere strikes a perfect balance, with lovely decor and plants that add to the warm, quaint, and clean inside. The coffee itself is excellent—rich, smooth, and clearly made with care. Specific drinks include a cappuccino, mushroom coffee, an iced peanut butter chocolate latte, an iced rose pistachio latte made with oat milk and chai instead of coffee, an iced maple latte with oatmilk, and an iced brown sugar oatmilk latte where the espresso is brewed through the brown sugar. The iced maple latte is not sweet at all, which is a good thing. The staff is genuinely friendly, attentive, and helpful, making the experience feel easy and comfortable. It is a close knit and very family friendly place. A cinnamon chip scone was very good. A fun music playlist was not too loud, so conversation was easy. Free small refills of large drinks were offered. This is one of those spots that just gets it right—great drinks, good vibes, and a place worth checking out.
