“We just went there today after church. We had a wonderful breakfast. Such friendly staff! We will definitly be frequenting there. Such a homey atmosphere. Don & Sue Baxter”

“As always, it was just amazing. The staff were all friendly and accommodating. The food was incredible. We love that they always start with a relish tray. The table side caesar salad is a must. They serve fresh baked dinner rolls and cake bites with the salad. The sorbet to cleanse your palette is a nice touch. I can't recommend their steak enough! The filet was cooked exactly as ordered, and the sides were delicious. My husband enjoyed the blackened maple salmon. The house cab was divine! If you get dessert, definitely get the chocolate peanut butter pie. It's out of this world! Their specialty drinks are also delicious! It's a perfect spot for family gatherings, larger celebrations, or a date night. You should make a reservation if you're planning to go over the weekend.”

“Made a special trip to Boonville from Watertown to visit Awesome Country and have lunch at Flatlander Deli. We were not disappointed! We had delicious sandwiches, shopped in the store and met some lovely people who work there! We had our two little grand girls with us so I will have to make a return trip to shop at a more leisurely pace. This is just the sweetest place with friendly employees who care about their community. Oh, and the sandwiches and soup we had were generously put together and amazing! I'm so glad we found you!”

“It's a small town bar where pretty much everyone knows everyone that walks thru the door, kinda like cheers!! Spent many a night sitting on the back porch having a cigarette and some good conversations with patrons and bartenders alike! Food service is new since COVID, but they have pizza and steak sandwiches now that are sure to pair well with whatever beer or drinks you might be having, they occasionally have karaoke or a small band from time to time as capacity isn't huge, but on a good night I think it could probably hold a hundred people maybe, not sure what Fire Marshal capacity is but it's gotta be close to that. Anyway if you ever come thru town on ATV or side by side it's right on the trail so that's never a bad thing and is right next to a dollar general and a gas station right around the corner

Parking: The parking lot isn't paved but it almost adds to the charm of the place and makes for easy access for ATVs and side by sides”

“10/09/24 UPDATE: The owner of Mercer's Dairy reached out to me shortly after I posted my review below and requested more information about the ice cream that I purchased, so I contacted her and provided the information she requested. She was very pleasant and apologized if that ice cream didn't meet their high standards for quality. She then graciously offered to refund my purchase price, and I accepted. Based on how this experience ended up, I've updated the review rating, and will try their ice cream again in the future. My sincere thanks and kudos to Ruthie for standing behind the quality of her ice cream products. That's something you don't experience very often these days.

10/07/24: I'd read all the great reviews, and heard that Mercer's ice cream is the stuff that legends are made of, so we decided to stop and buy some ice cream there on our way home on a recent Sunday. We bought a half-gallon of Adirondack Brownie ice cream, and we even bought some dry ice there just to be sure the ice cream didn't melt on the way home. The ice cream was still frozen when we got home, and it went right into our freezer and stayed there until we took it out that evening. Sadly, what's in this half-gallon carton is anything but rich ice cream. It's very grainy, and looks and tastes like it has ice crystals or freezer burn. It has the taste and consistency of ice milk, definitely not like any ice cream we've ever had. That's very disappointing considering we paid a premium price and expected a premium product. The expiration date is in 2026, so I guess that's not the problem. Maybe we just got some bad product. We'll just stick with Perry's or Breyers ice cream because we know what to expect from those two brands.”

“I cannot say enough how great the environment, the staff, and ultimately, the food is compared to other pizza places I have eaten at. The pizza here is consistent unlike Capri’s in Boonville. I cannot even stomach pizza from Boonville Luigi’s. This place blows Pizza Hut, Domino’s, and Little Caesar’s out of the equation! I wish this place delivered, because I would order there a LOT more! The prices are fair unlike all of the other local pizzerias in the Boonville area!”

“I ordered today for lunch. Medium broccoli, onion, and garlic. They did not disappoint!! The pizza is nostalgic for me. Reminds me of Old school pizza and how it was made!! I picked up my Italian sub today and it had so much oil on it's soaked through the paper wrapper. it had so much oil on it you could barely taste anything else. I've had such great sandwiches over the last 6 months or so I was really disappointed.”

“Gas station convenience store converted to gas station DD. Gas station busy, with 1 attendant. About 6 people waiting to get their orders made. No bathroom visible, 1 employee bathroom outside locked of course. Place out in rural area. Stony Brook looks scenic, but this DD appeared pretty sub par. How a gas station got through planning board without public bathroom is 1 legit question, how it got through DD franchise requirements is 2nd legit question. As Simon Cowell would say, it s a NO from me.22 May 2023”
