“It's a small town bar where pretty much everyone knows everyone that walks thru the door, kinda like cheers!! Spent many a night sitting on the back porch having a cigarette and some good conversations with patrons and bartenders alike! Food service is new since COVID, but they have pizza and steak sandwiches now that are sure to pair well with whatever beer or drinks you might be having, they occasionally have karaoke or a small band from time to time as capacity isn't huge, but on a good night I think it could probably hold a hundred people maybe, not sure what Fire Marshal capacity is but it's gotta be close to that. Anyway if you ever come thru town on ATV or side by side it's right on the trail so that's never a bad thing and is right next to a dollar general and a gas station right around the cornerParking: The parking lot isn't paved but it almost adds to the charm of the place and makes for easy access for ATVs and side by sides”

“The nicest most accommodating bar tender (maybe owner) i’ve ever met. We came in soaking wet after getting caught in a rain storm on our SXS and she put our clothes in the dryer for us. She went out of her way to help us and enabled us to enjoy the test of our day. Highly recommend!”

“I cannot say enough how great the environment, the staff, and ultimately, the food is compared to other pizza places I have eaten at. The pizza here is consistent unlike Capri’s in Boonville. I cannot even stomach pizza from Boonville Luigi’s. This place blows Pizza Hut, Domino’s, and Little Caesar’s out of the equation! I wish this place delivered, because I would order there a LOT more! The prices are fair unlike all of the other local pizzerias in the Boonville area!”

“This place is fantastic! All from the amazing touches of the owner greeting you to talk about the specials to a small dish of sorbet in between your salad and entree to cleanse your palette. Everything we had here was amazing! The service is superb!! Our server was amazing and very attentive the whole time we were there. She found out that we were driving a half an hour back home and made sure to pack ice in with our desserts to-go to keep them cold. I would recommend this place to everyone!!”

“It ‘s our happening/happy place. After a super giddy up at the Otter Creek Horse Trails it’s off to Pioneer Cafe for the BEST turkey sandwiches ever. Oh….and the staff are EXCEPTIONAL. They make every guest feel like family including the ones hanging in the parking lot!”

“I sadly won't probably be at the Wicked Bad Apple in the near future, the last time I was in that town was 40+ years ago. I must say though if I ever do get up in that area again, you can bet I will DEFINITELY stop there again!! It was a really nice place inside and outside, the food was great and it was comfortable! Only 2 negative things I could think of is there was only one guy working and he had to do everything, and not much in area of seating for dinner. It's primarily a bar so those 2 things are very very minor!!”

“Love this Old Timey Restaurant they also rent out there fairly good sized Banquet Hall area.Parking: Park right up front if you have a wheelchair and in the winter there driveways always plowed very well.Kid-friendliness: Lots of cool things to amuse kids.Wheelchair accessibility: They will even hold the door for you.”

“We were staying in the area and decided to stop by for dinner one night as this place came highly recommended. It was nice overall, I'd like to visit again someday to try other options. The chicken sandwiches were phenomenal! Impressively sized and cooked perfectly! The fries were crispy and some of the best I've had! The clams were mostly good but many were almost inedibly salty and the old fashioned was too watered down for my taste, but nothing that prevented us from having a nice experience! The atmosphere is cozy and it's beautifully decorated. There was plenty of parking in the lot.”

“The food was delicious and the portion of the pasta was insanely big, enough for two meals. The atmosphere was welcoming and fun. Our waitresses were very attentive and made sure we were taken care of. We will be going back when we are in the area.”
