“This place is fantastic! All from the amazing touches of the owner greeting you to talk about the specials to a small dish of sorbet in between your salad and entree to cleanse your palette. Everything we had here was amazing! The service is superb!! Our server was amazing and very attentive the whole time we were there. She found out that we were driving a half an hour back home and made sure to pack ice in with our desserts to-go to keep them cold. I would recommend this place to everyone!!”

“This is a cozy restauraunt with a pleasant atmosphere and friendly staff. The burgers, fries, and French onion soup are all amazing.Dietary restrictions: Unfortunately there aren't many gluten free options here, but the fries, loaded potato skins, and soup make up for it.”

“This is a great little cafe, treats are baked fresh every morning. Anything older than that is labeled as such and discounted. Very pleasant old brick building / hardwood floor atmosphere, possibly crowded on Saturdays but not otherwise. Wifi, clean restroom, everything you would hope for including a very pleasant staff. I personally feel the prices are a little high, but not out of line with everything else these days. The village of Lowville is fortunate to have this place, and I hope it does very well in the coming years.”

“It's very relaxed and clean. The french vanilla hazelnut latte is a must. The orange cranberry scone is one of the best scones I've had. They have kid friendly options that my toddlers loved. When you first walk in, there is a door to the right that has a kids' play area that's closed off from the rest of the shop and has a place to sit and eat.”

“I refer to Flat Rock Inn as the Icon of Tug Hill. Gordon and his Staff are amazing people, that work very hard, for people to enjoy the Tug Hill experience.Nearby activities: Gordon rents snowmobiles, ATV's, and side by sides, so people can see the beauty that Tug Hill has to offer. On the second weekends of June, July, and August, Flat Rock Inn hosts snowmobile Watercross races. Watching a snowmobile hydroplane at speeds over 60+ mph is something everyone should experience !”

“I sadly won't probably be at the Wicked Bad Apple in the near future, the last time I was in that town was 40+ years ago. I must say though if I ever do get up in that area again, you can bet I will DEFINITELY stop there again!! It was a really nice place inside and outside, the food was great and it was comfortable! Only 2 negative things I could think of is there was only one guy working and he had to do everything, and not much in area of seating for dinner. It's primarily a bar so those 2 things are very very minor!!”

“Love Tug Hill! I was in the area and am always excited to try new coffee. I asked about their flavors; I prefer dark, bold blends. They recommended Rough and Ready. I'm so glad I tried it! “The nicest most accommodating bar tender (maybe owner) i’ve ever met. We came in soaking wet after getting caught in a rain storm on our SXS and she put our clothes in the dryer for us. She went out of her way to help us and enabled us to enjoy the test of our day. Highly recommend!”

“We were staying in the area and decided to stop by for dinner one night as this place came highly recommended. It was nice overall, I'd like to visit again someday to try other options. The chicken sandwiches were phenomenal! Impressively sized and cooked perfectly! The fries were crispy and some of the best I've had! The clams were mostly good but many were almost inedibly salty and the old fashioned was too watered down for my taste, but nothing that prevented us from having a nice experience! The atmosphere is cozy and it's beautifully decorated. There was plenty of parking in the lot.”

“This is a great little restaurant that is largely ignored by out-of-state snowmobilers. I'm certainly not complaining; my crew and I enjoy the mainly-locals vibe and the friendly and welcoming service.From the very first time we walked in, the staff (including the owner, Suzie) made us feel at home. And the food...I've never had a single meal here that wasn't a home run. It's all delicious!”

“It's a small town bar where pretty much everyone knows everyone that walks thru the door, kinda like cheers!! Spent many a night sitting on the back porch having a cigarette and some good conversations with patrons and bartenders alike! Food service is new since COVID, but they have pizza and steak sandwiches now that are sure to pair well with whatever beer or drinks you might be having, they occasionally have karaoke or a small band from time to time as capacity isn't huge, but on a good night I think it could probably hold a hundred people maybe, not sure what Fire Marshal capacity is but it's gotta be close to that. Anyway if you ever come thru town on ATV or side by side it's right on the trail so that's never a bad thing and is right next to a dollar general and a gas station right around the cornerParking: The parking lot isn't paved but it almost adds to the charm of the place and makes for easy access for ATVs and side by sides”

“Was really good, was disappointed in not having many baked goods available. Maybe they have a full selection in the morning but we were there at noon and the display was mostly empty. Lunch was really good though, and our server was great. I'm sure we will be back plenty and find a better selection of bakery items in the future.”

“I met them at the Lewis County fair. It's difficult to find a good brisket in the North Country. I wanted it, but not in sandwich. She gave me an enormous portion of meat, which was the best I've had up here. It had a nice bark, was super tender and delicious. The woman that was there was very nice, and took really good care of me. I will definitely look them up when I swing through Lowville again. ?”

“I cannot say enough how great the environment, the staff, and ultimately, the food is compared to other pizza places I have eaten at. The pizza here is consistent unlike Capri’s in Boonville. I cannot even stomach pizza from Boonville Luigi’s. This place blows Pizza Hut, Domino’s, and Little Caesar’s out of the equation! I wish this place delivered, because I would order there a LOT more! The prices are fair unlike all of the other local pizzerias in the Boonville area!”

I visit this location every single morning, I’m always greeted with a kind smile but I’d really like to point out the two younger gentlemen that do drive thru and kitchen.. they are awesome.
