“I can’t even begin to explain how much we loved this place! It was our first time but definitely won’t be our last! I was a little nervous when we parked, as I didn’t know if it would be appropriate for our 16 month old but they have kid menus and he loved it! We ordered the cheese curds, the sauce was so good! We also recommend the Mac and cheese bakes. We tried the original and BBQ pulled pork. We were NOT disappointed. Will definitely make the drive from Fort Drum to come here again!”
“We had the Jerry rigged chicken sandwich and turkey, ranch panini, and both were very good. Jerry rigged is a spicy BBQ sauce, and it had a nice balance of both. Fries were fresh and crisp; the service was great. We are local but also always hear great things about their support of local recreation, and for special events, they help host all the time. Great place!”
“I live and work in Watertown. I saw online where The Morning Ritual would be bringing some donuts to Europe Cakes on Friday to sell to their customers. I messaged them Thursday night and order an assortment to bring to work with me Friday morning. I wanted to try and get them early and the owner made area so I could pick them up early to have them to work by 8. The donuts look, smelled and tasted amazing. We only had 5 guys at work Friday but we managed to eat 14 donuts. Yummy. I brought the last 10 home to my family. I put them in a plastic bag to keep them fresh overnight. Saturday morning, my three teenage boys tore through them. My Wife slept in and missed out as they ate them all. Nothing but positive reviews from family and coworkers. If you are going to buy donuts from Price Chopper in Carthage, spend a few dollars more, support local, enjoy more flavors that aren't mass produced and enjoy some donuts made with heart and soul. I highly recommend not just for the donuts but for the customer service!!”
“My wife and I shared a delicious meal here- hats off to the chef! I thought the menu was appropriately priced and the waitress made sure to exceed our expectations. The cocktails not only utilized their own brand, but were made uniquely and tasted great.”
“Despite the inside of the establishment (which no one ever it’s inside), it’s clean and the food is always good. Wouldn’t go anywhere else in the whole Watertown/fort drum area.”
“This place has always been great. They have awesome flavors, good prices and even pup cups for your dog. I like that they have large open fields and a play area for kids as well.”
“It is a small restaurant in the town of Carthage with the wonderful foods and awesome pricesParking: Lots of parking behind the restaurant there is a huge parking lotKid-friendliness: Yes varyWheelchair accessibility: Yes”
“This place is hands down the best place in the black river area! Whether for a quick bite for lunch or a get together this is a great option close to base. We held a promotion party here; the food was sooooooo good, the staff was attentive and the space was the perfect size. Their wings and pizza are awesome but tacos are their stand out for sure. I consider this elevated bar food. Yes it’s pizza, burgers, wings, fries and tacos but the flavors are just killer and everything has always been cooked to perfection no matter the time of day or food choice selected. Try their nashville hot it does not disappoint!”
“I recently hosted a surprise party for my Mom’s 65th birthday and retirement at Busted Grapes Winery, and I couldn't be more thrilled with the experience. From start to finish, Busted Grapes went above and beyond to help ensure that every detail was taken care of and that the event was a huge success. Their level of accommodation was exceptional, and their dedication to making our celebration memorable was evident in every aspect of the event. The beautiful setting and delicious wine truly made it a day to remember. I highly recommend Busted Grapes Winery for any special occasion.”
“Decent food, good service! I just wish there was more seating and it was away from the kitchen. The cook was very loudly speaking the entire time and it ruined the peace we were hoping to have while eating our breakfast. I just wish it was alittle quieter.”
“This is a great little restaurant that is largely ignored by out-of-state snowmobilers. I'm certainly not complaining; my crew and I enjoy the mainly-locals vibe and the friendly and welcoming service. From the very first time we walked in, the staff (including the owner, Suzie) made us feel at home. And the food...I've never had a single meal here that wasn't a home run. It's all delicious!”
“The chicken is amazing and the rice is even better. It is a family owned restaurant and they run the restaurant very well and are very respectful. Very good atmosphere.Kid-friendliness: This restaurant being a family owned business is very kid friendly.”
“This is my husband and I'm little go to for a little bite to eat. We enjoy the live bands. The food is always good. Love cheese curd with raspberry sauce or the fried pickles. Drinks are flowing, and staff is friendly. Never super crowded when we visit which is a bonus for us.Parking: Street parking or across the street is a free lot”
“They always have the best burgers and chicken! My two favorite things are the maple burger and the maple buffalo chicken sandwich. The subtle taste of maple is a great addition to anything!Kid-friendliness: They have a kids menu with multiple options. My kids love the personal pizzas best.”
“I love this bar! It's small, but the company is fantastic. Tammy the owner always always takes care of her customers. Yes, it's a "everyone knows everyone" place but everyone is friendly this is a small town with some of the most pleasant people. Highly recommended. Kait is one of the other bar tenders she is fast and has a friendly smile she welcomes anyone that walks in the door with a hey hi, how are you. Truly felt like I was around family.”
“I'm a 67 year old white male with an affinity for good home cooking. I started going to the whistle stop after my mom told me I ate way too many pancakes. I ate 67 in one sitting at the whistle stop! My favorite thing to eat at the whistle stop is the 67 Oz. Fried fish platter and the 6.7 oz serving of pudding. You have to try the owners special 67 sauce which they slather on everything. It is to die for! I could drink the 67 sauce by the gallon. The ambiance is simply amazing. Most of the waitresses are a perfect 6.7 out of 10. Some of them are so beautiful I would walk 6.7 uphill both ways in the freezing cold just to get a serving of 67 sauce. Don't take my word for it. Go here immediately and make sure you have enough money. I can guarantee you will tip higher than 6.7%!!”
“I would give this specific store a 12 out 5 if I could. But since I can't, 5 stars. Sweet people, great food, happy-go-lucky atmosphere. Definitely going back.”
“Back in the day my family were customers at the original Stefano's. I remember Carthage before Stefano's was even around circa 1984. During a recent trip it was great to see the restaurant still open, it was quite the surprise. Stefano and his family were always the best, and the food was great then as it is now. I am looking forward to visiting again soon, hopefully I'll be able to get some of those pepperoni rolls.”
“I have to leave this review because this was the best dunkin I have ever had. Carmen made our visit incredible from the drive through to when we finished our meals. She was kind, helpful, and our food tasted PERFECT!! We ordered a chocolate chip muffin, everything bagel bites, and an egg and cheese croissant. I would love for you to move this store to directly next to my house. Please and thank you :)Vegetarian options: Egg and cheese croissant is a hit! So are the everything stuffed bagel minis!”
“Probably the best pizza we've had in the local area. Only draw back is that they are Cash Only!. They also sell some furniture as well. The service was very friendly.”
“We love having Stefano's in our community. With several locations around northern New York it's nice to have Stefano's Pizzeria just outside the gate of Fort Drum. They have a great sauce and crust. Try their garlic knots and I love to order my wings extra crispy.”
“My friend and I were in Carthage on business and decided to stop for a bite at Zero Dock Street. We’d heard good things about it.The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming. We were greeted and seated right away. Larkin was our super-friendly server. We wanted to get the duck bacon wontons for an app. “Don’t hate me, but we’re out of those today,” she said. We wound up ordering the boneless chicken wings with mild sauce to split. It’s a good thing we decided to split them, because the portion was huge, like 13 pieces! We couldn’t finish them. They were delicious! The sauce had a tangy little kick to it. For my entree, I chose the broiled haddock with tots. There were a LOT of tots. Again, I couldn’t finish them all. My friend ordered the buffalo chicken mac and cheese bowl. Again, the portion was quite large. It was a very tasty dish; he said that the buffalo sauce from the chicken infused the pasta.Props to our server, Larkin, who was working the entire floor alone. We had leftovers to take home, always a good thing. We will probably go back, if only to try those elusive duck bacon wontons!”
“We stopped in today after a wrestling tournament. We were taken care of by Aspen and Austin who were a complete joy and sooo nice! Aspen didn't miss a beat and kept a smile all while our 3 year old kept talking over and asking questions. Not only did they make delish sandwiches and a footlong cookie *(for the win) they were really personable. Also the sotr was super clean including the bathroom. Great job Subway. You have great staff in here :)”
“You'll never find a harder working family anywhere in the North Country. Striving to put out amazing authentic food every day. Do yourself a favor and stop here or their second location in Chaumont.”
“I dislike eating fast food but sometimes if the kids want food McDonald's is were they want to go. The prices are getting extremely high, but breakfast is still my favorite at McDonald's.”
“Had a pick up order and there was a bit of wait time which I don’t mind at all waiting for!I understand how fast food restaurants are. The lady at the counter informed me of some items that were not available and compensated the necessary items. Her and her workmates had a vibrant and great work environment and I am very thankful to them for their work!”
“Real down home atmosphere! It was definitely a locals stop and they treated us like one of the family. The food was awesome and the dessert was amazing “Raspberry Yum Cake” oh it was yummy ? Thank you for the hospitality, we will definitely be back!!”
